Manual versus Automatic Submission
Promote your website through article submission
One of the most effective ways to promote your website without spending a fortune doing so is through article submission. This means you write or commission someone to write articles pertaining to the content of your website and then submit them to online article directories.
Article submission works by creating backlinks to your website. Every article directory will include a so-called “resource box” at the end of your article with a few details about your website and a link to it. When your article is picked up by newsletters and e-zines that publish material on the subject you chose for your article, they also include the resource box, thus backlinking to your website.
As a result, the traffic to your site increases, and may sometimes come from places you would have never found on your own. What’s more, if readers like your content, they may link to it from their websites, as well. The more backlinks to your site out there, the better your position in Google rankings will be.
Manual or Automatical Article Submission?
Manual submission entails finding the right article directory, then creating an account with that directory and submitting the articles in the right category. It may also entail modifying the articles (such as removing or adding html code inside them, putting links only in specific parts of the articles) to meet the requirements of the various directories.
Article directories have different forms for article submission and the input fields vary from one such directory to another.
Some of the most important article directories are:
* Article City
* Article Dashboard
* Ezine Articles
* Go Articles
* Search Warp
There are also article submission services available, if you do not have time to manually submit your articles, like Article Marketer and iSnare, which charge a fee their services. If you prefer to do it yourself but want to speed up the process, you can resort to automatic submission and use a submission tool.
Automatic submission software solutions include products like: Article Announcer, Article Post Robot, Ezine Announcer.
Which One Should You Choose?
Many people would say you should go for manual submission. Why is that? First of all, a lot of directories treat automatically submitted articles as spam. Second, you can quickly see any changes made on the directory’s website and respond accordingly, which automatic submission robots can’t. Third, it is easier to make changes to your article if you need to, because to manually submit articles you need to have an account with the directory where you can login and edit what you want.
Then there is also the fact that article directories are different in that categories do no always overlap, so if you submit an article manually you can make sure it ends up in the right category. In addition, you can check the terms and conditions of each article directory and see whether they accept links in the body of the article or not, for instance, or whether they accept HTML tags or not. This is something automatic submission tools can not do. The major downside to manual submission is the time spent doing it.
On the other hand, automatic submission saves you the time and effort of manually submitting articles to directories one by one. If you would rather automate the submission process, and use a software submission tool, you should check how often the software is updated, the quality of directories selected and the choice of categories (i.e. are the categories specific enough or does it take only general categories into account) before you pick a solution.
Market Your Online Business For Less
Business can get expensive. If you are like most people starting an online business you may quickly find your savings tapped and your credit cards maxed. That is, unless you know how to market your online business for free – or nearly free.
There are many ways to market your business, but not all methods deliver the same results to every business. While you learn your way around the online business world it makes sense to start with the cheap or free methods of marketing before spending a lot of money on a system that will not work for you.
Here are three methods for marketing your business for little or no cost. Some will work better than others and some will take longer to show results. Find out the costs as well as the Pros and Cons of each method.
MARKETING METHOD ONE: TRAFFIC EXCHANGES
Traffic exchanges are very popular for new online businesses. They can be free or charge a monthly fee. The way they work is that each member views other members websites, usually for a specified period of time, to build credits. Their sites will then be displayed to other members depending on the number of websites they have viewed.
PRO: Usually free. Lots of traffic quickly.
CON: Traffic is not targeted so usually works better for businesses that appeal to a wide audience. Viewing other members websites is time consuming.
MARKETING METHOD TWO: ONLINE FORUMS
Forums are online communities that discuss specific topics. There are forums (or discussion groups) on just about any topic you can think of. You can find these by doing a search for ‘forum’ and your topic. Or you can go to Google and search the Groups for your key word or phrase. Forums are usually free to join.
Most forums do not allow commercial solicitations. The focus is on exchanging information. Be prepared to add useful comments to the discussion and follow the posted rules. You may be allowed to attach a signature to your comments. Put your website in the signature to attract the search engine spiders and send visitors to your site. Develop a reputation as an expert on your topic and give free advice when possible to build credibility.
PRO: Targeted traffic. Builds credibility
CON: Have to be careful not to be labeled as “spam”. Must spend time answering questions and posting comments. Depending on where you post and what you say you may or may not see a lot of traffic initially.
MARKETING METHOD THREE: NEWSLETTERS
Start your own newsletter right away. While this does not bring traffic to your site it does take advantage of the visitors who do come. The code for collecting emails can often be obtained from your host provider for free or an autoresponder service which is free or paid depending on your service.
Have a place for visitors to enter their email address and name. Send them a free report or email once a week with tips or news about your topic. This will permit you to build a relationship with prospects as well as grant you permission to contact them again with your offer. It often takes up to seven contacts before a prospect will buy, so don’t let them leave without getting their email!
PRO: Permits you to contact interested prospects again. Builds relationship with customers and potential customers.
CON: Effort is needed to provide quality information on a regular basis. Does not attract new visitors.
Each of the marketing strategies outlined above are proven to work. What works best for you and your business will depend on various factors such as; what your business is, what time you can spend marketing and what information you can provide. Start using two or all three of these methods and you will be creating a solid marketing foundation for your business.
Making Sense of Internet Marketing
The key components of an Internet marketing program include Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Search Engine Marketing (SEM), Paid Placement, Affiliate Marketing and Viral/Social Marketing. The goal of all of these is to increase a website’s traffic (number of people who visit) however each uses a different tactic to meet this goal. An effective Internet marketing program leverages a mix of these components to maximize their value at a particular point in the overall program.
Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is an attempt to increase your website’s ranking in ‘organic’ (non-paid) search results in Google
Making profit on the Internet
There are so many ways to make profit on the Internet that you would need a complete e-book for it, and not a tiny article as this one. But lack of space should never deter one from sharing some good news. Let us see how the Internet can be used to make some good cash online. One totally fail-proof method to draw profits from the Net is to use pay-per-click to generate adsense income. This method is so simple to understand and easy to operate that absolutely anyone can do it.
In order to get a good and continuous income flow from the adsense ads, you will need to use a form of traffic arbitrage in combination of some good but low cost keywords and the bid on the different pay-per-click search engines &ndash like Google. In order to have the system fail proof you will have to work initially to plug in any imbalances that may exist. You must take care about the following:
1. Keywords: You will need to choose exceptionally apt keywords, which will be high paying. For this you should be tuned in on what is the right combination and you should be able to attract the right type of crowd to your website. You will payment for PPC should be justified vis-
Making Money Through Product Resell Rights
Resell rights come in many forms and sizes. They can come in large packages with many products bundled together and offered for an almost suspiciously low price. Or they can be offered on a single product for a four-figure sum. There are also different types of rights offered allowing you to do different things.
Basic resell rights only give you the right to sell the product. You cannot claim the product is your own and you do not have permission to offer the resell rights to anyone else. Basic resell rights are usually the cheapest, so it may be easier to make a profit. Check the terms for how much you can charge for the product or if it can be given away, perhaps as a bonus with something else. There may also be conditions for distributing the product from membership and auction sites. If you are buying rights to software make sure you know the product well enough to deal with any troubleshooting enquiries. Some software rights sellers are prepared to deal with enquiries themselves. The product may also come with a web sales page that you can use, but check for any restrictions.
Master resell rights often include a web page with the product. They give you the right to sell the product and you can also pass on this right to your customers. However that is as far as it goes. Your customers cannot give the resell rights for the product to their customers. The best master resell rights packages will include a zip file containing everything you need to put on your download page.
There are two types of resell rights that may be referred to as private label rights. One type is where you are given the resell rights for a finished product and you are also allowed to put your name on the product as the author. This type of product is a ready-to-sell information or software product. You cannot change it other than put your name on it.
The second type of private label rights is also known as source code rights. The product is not a finished ready-to-sell item. Instead it will be the raw source material that you can use to produce a finished item. Programs will be in the source code format; information products will be in a word processor format, like MS Word.
You can change the product in any way you want. You can add your name as author, add more content, omit parts or split it into several products. You may also be able to sell resell rights and even master resell rights. Terms and conditions should be posted, so check them carefully. Most private label rights packages also come with a web page and graphics that you can use for selling.
If you have found a resell rights product that you think you can sell you need to do some basic market research before purchasing. How many people are searching for this type of product? How many competing products are there? Have you seen the product available elsewhere?
If you are going to sell on the internet you need to have access to the following skills. You must be able to edit web pages, create payment links and upload the product and web pages to a server. If you are buying private label rights you must also be able to edit the product. This is especially important if you are buying rights for software.
There are many ways you can sell products on the internet. You can usually set up your own website or add the sales page to your existing site. You could invest in pay per click ads or ezine ads. You could write articles. If you have private label rights to a book you can use some of the content to produce articles or even a free report for viral marketing.
Resell rights offer the advantage of not having to produce your own material. However, you need to be sure the product is good quality and that you have a good marketing plan.
Making Money With Squidoo – 3
Thousands of marketers have realized the incredible profit-generating benefits of Squidoo. The time to capitalize on this relatively new Web 2.0 marketing opportunity is definitely now. As Squidoo’s popularity continues to grow, the availability of niche keyword lens titles will diminish. As of this writing, there are still highly profitable niche keywords available to use as niche lens titles.
If your desire is to make a profit with your Squidoo lenses, there are several important steps you need to implement to ensure success.
1. Perform serious keyword research for your lens. This must be your first step. The keywords in the title of your Squidoo lens are just as important as the title of any website. Use a good keyword tool such as Overture or even Good Keywords to search for keywords that are searched between 2000 and 50,000 times per month. Although Squidoo is doing quite well in the search engines, I wouldn’t be over-zealous and use keywords that are searched for over 50,000 times per month. Squidoo allows you to submit up to 20 tags, so you should use all 20 tags and be sure to use 3-4 keyword phrases to make up each keyword. They seem to work better with Squidoo.
2. Provide useful content on your Squidoo lenses such as articles and product reviews. This will increase your lenses’ popularity with consumers and with the search engines. Also, don’t flood your lens with lots of affiliate links as this could be viewed as spamming by the Squidoo staff and may get your lens deleted. One to three affiliate links is plenty. You will also need to use at least three additional modules. I recommend using the Ebay, Amazon and RSS modules. RSS feeds will provide fresh content to your lens which is always appealing to the search engines. Be sure the RSS feed you use is relative and updated often.
3. Find quality incoming links to your Squidoo lens. This is very important to your rankings in the search engines. The sites which link to your Squidoo lens should have a page rank of 4 or higher. Incoming links that work well with Squidoo are social bookmarking sites, classified ad sites like Craigslist and social networking sites like YouTube and MySpace. Be sure to follow these websites’ guidelines. It’s also a good idea to place a link to your Squidoo site on your blog.
Making Money Online When The Prospect Names His Own Price
I’m a plain man when it comes to making money online; I just do what I do and try to make an honest buck wherever I can without upsetting anyone.
Now and again though fate steps in and sends you a prospect where you have to figure out for yourself where he or she is coming from and where in fact they think they’re heading.
I got one such prospect a few weeks ago in the shape of Rocco, a gentle giant from Brooklyn.
How do I know Rocco is a giant?
He emailed a picture of himself towering over his significant other and some friends.
How do I know he’s gentle?
Read on…
Rocco emailed me expressing interest in three of my products but he didn’t want them in digital format (which would have cost him $107 in total) he wanted hard copy.
I suggested CD formatting.
He got back to me saying, “No, I don’t want CDs, I want hard copy. I’ll pay a grand”
So now I thought, loony tunes, but I emailed Rocco back intimating that if he deposited $200 in my PayPal account I’d give him what he wanted; hard copy on all three products
I reckoned I would hear no more but the following morning on checking my PayPal account I discovered to my astonishment that one thousand dollars had been deposited.
I can’t take this man’s money I protested and I told him so.
Rocco got back to me within the hour.
His brusque message read, “I said a grand, I meant a grand, so take a grand”.
So I took Rocco’s grand.
Wouldn’t you?
I mean who wants to be emailed to death…
The moral:
Never assume you know better than prospects &ndash or what they are prepared to pay &ndash and why. Maybe Rocco has a sight problem beyond my ken or maybe he finds it difficult to read from a computer screen. I will never know for sure but this I do know. Rocco is delighted with the hard copy he craved.
He told me so… in yet another email.

Making money over the internet: A 5 step formula
Getting rich is the dream of many. And internet is a good medium to get rich fast. But one have to do a great deal of homework and consistent effort to get rich. In this short exposure I will outline the five step procedure to make money using internet.
Step1. Have a basic knowledge about internet.
Internet is a vibrant medium. It is also highly dynamic and evolving. What is selling today may be considered garbage tomorrow. So anybody planning to do an internet business should have a basic knowledge about internet, its evolving trends and the possibilities.
Step2: Get a business idea:
If you think that you have ingenuity, originality and enough time, you can workout your own business idea. Or if you are ready to research a little you can get enough articles discussing original business ideas. If you are a butterfly on the internet, you can adapt the idea from a successful business site (of course without infringing the intellectual property rights) and make your own variations of it. If you are still lazier you can approach a consultant for the purpose. The important thing is that you must have an idea.
Step3: Work out the idea to minute detail.
An abstract idea like “I should have a site selling books” will not fetch you money. So many things have to be decided upon. What content you should have on the site, how you interact with customers, how do you prevent frauds, how do you advertise your site and so on. Another very important thing is the user interface .In all these things a consultant may be of help to you, but if you want to learn and innovate he may be a hindrance too. This phase is a little time consuming, but it lets you weave dreams about your business. Also it is advised to document your design dreams. because these forms the blueprint of your business.
Step4. Implement the business:
Once you have the complete idea of a web business you must start implementing it. If your site permits you can go for an incremental implementation, starting with a minimum set of features and adding new features gradually. This will help you to start earning from an early stage. The advertisement can go side by side. In many phases you may have to get external help or advice.
Step5 Constantly improvise.
As I have said earlier trends in internet are changing at a rapid phase and if you do not make changes in the interface and working style of your site will not be liked by people. So you must constantly watch competing or similar sites and evolve your site over time. The feedback from the users is a good indicator in this regard. Also you must be willing to diversify ,expand and even divert your business according to market forces and user needs.
I would like to get your feedback regarding this article. Please feel free to mail me your opinions.
Making Money Online , Selling Other People
A lot of people are now getting into online businesses and online marketing either to supplement their “real world” income or for it to become their primary source of income. Why? Because online marketing just provides them a lot of benefits!
First, you can reach just about anybody in the world who has Internet access if you market your products online. That means a wider market for you, which can translate to larger profits. Second, setting up an online business requires only a fraction of the cost required to set up an actual business establishment, which means a lot of savings for the business owner.
Another aspect that has attracted a lot of people towards online marketing is the fact that one doesn’t have to have his own products to get started. In online marketing, one can start making a lot of money just by selling, or even by just trying to sell, other people’s products. And getting started with this kind of marketing strategy is actually quite easy. All that one needs to do is to set up an agreement with an online retailer or merchant, and after everything is settled, one can immediately start making money by selling the merchant’s or the retailer’s products.
Incidentally, the most popular and the fastest growing method of selling other people’s products online is affiliate marketing. Affiliate marketing, in its simplest definition, is a relationship between an online merchant or retailer, who has products to sell, and his affiliates, who are willing to promote the merchant’s product on their website.
In a typical affiliate marketing set up, the merchant provides his affiliates with banners and text ads that links to his site. The affiliates will then get these ads posted on their website and they get paid whenever traffic or sales is directed to the merchant’s website. Affiliates are often paid on commission basis, although other online merchants would opt to pay a fixed fee for the affiliate’s compensation.
Starting to make money online with affiliate marketing is relatively quick and easy. All that one has to do is to sign up as an affiliate for an online company that offers affiliate programs. An alternative method, and usually an easier one, is to sign up as a member of an affiliate network&ndasha network that hosts a variety of affiliate programs for different online merchants or retailers. Signing up is usually free, although other companies and networks may require you to pay a particular fee. Such fees, however, are made as payment for additional services that the company may render, like providing you with tools and assistance to jumpstart your online business.
When you sign up with an affiliate marketing program, you are usually required to fill out a form containing information about yourself. Some affiliate programs may also require you to present the URL of your website and describe its contents. This will allow the retailers to verify that you actually have a website with contents that are relevant to their products. Some affiliate programs, however, won’t require you to have a website. After filling out the form and all, you are then allowed to choose the affiliate programs you want to promote.
After signing up with an affiliate program and being an actual affiliate, you are now ready to start making a lot of money by selling other people’s product online. How do you make money? There are actually a number of ways for you to earn money as an affiliate, and most of these ways depends on the type of affiliate marketing program you’ve gotten into.
Many affiliate marketing programs compensate their affiliates in either of three ways: pay-per-click (PPC), pay-per-sale (PPS), or pay-per-lead (PPL). In pay-per-click affiliate marketing, the affiliate is paid whenever he directs traffic to the merchant’s site. PPS and PPL affiliate marketing programs work rather differently. In PPS, the affiliate only gets paid when his referral converts into an actual sale. In typical PPS affiliate programs, the affiliate would usually get 15% to 20% commission for each conversion. PPL affiliate programs work the same way, although affiliates are paid a fixed fee whenever his referral converts into a lead for the company.
Some affiliate marketing programs are two-tier programs, wherein the affiliate is also allowed to recommend other affiliates to the merchant. In such affiliate programs, the affiliate would not only be paid for the traffic or sales that he would direct to the merchant’s site but also for the traffic or sales directed by the affiliates who signed up with the program through his recommendation.
Yet another way of earning more profits with affiliate marketing is through residual affiliate programs. Residual affiliate programs are affiliate programs where the affiliate gets paid a number of times for as long as the merchant keeps the customer the affiliate has referred to his site. One form of residual program gets the affiliate paid a commission every time the referred customer purchases something on the merchant’s site. Another form of residual affiliate program gets the affiliate paid a percentage every month for as long as the company keeps the referred customer.
With a lot of options available and a lot of ways to earn money, affiliate marketing is undoubtedly the most popular and the easiest way to make money by selling other people’s products online. As to how much money one can get from affiliate marketing actually depends on the affiliate. A dedicated and hardworking affiliate would certainly get more from the program compared to those affiliates who would simply sign up and forget about the program later.
Making Money On The Internet With Your Home Business
Almost every website on the Internet has one goal in mind: how to make money, at the lowest cost possible.
I, for one, has this website .googlingprofit.com, with making money on the Internet for a theme.
The purpose of this article is to share with budding webmasters and those intending to make their presence felt on the world wide web, the lessons learned from the early successes of Amazon.com – the online store founded by Jeff Bezos – one of the business leaders in today’s Information age.
Here are the lessons learned from Jeff Bezos’ early successes with Amazon.com – which I hope will be of valuable help to you.
Lesson One: Have a Goal
You must have a goal. From the moment Jeff Bezos envisioned to make his presence felt on the Internet, he spared nothing to attain his goal.
Lay down and make known in clear fashion your goal to every stake holder of your Internet business. These include your spouse, your web designer, and your assistants, if any.
When Amazon was struggling to make a profit for the first time, only its founder Jeff Bezos believed that his business goal could be achieved. Everybody was astounded when Jeff Bezos achieved his goal after one year from pronouncing his goal.
You can write your goal on a piece of paper and post this on the wall beside your desk. Save this goal in your hard disk. If possible make your goal the start up page when your computer boots up. Convert your goal into a screensaver. Read your goal to yourself every day as you go about your business.
Lesson Two: Motivate Yourself
You should motivate yourself every day and pass this motivation on to every one who’s involved in your business. Jeff Bezos did not lack motivation when he was struggling in his business.
To paraphrase Wallace D. Wattles who wrote the 1910 best selling book, The Science of Getting Rich, envision yourself right now as having a very successful business and do every legal and ethical way to actualize your vision. You can learn more about Wallace Wattle’s book from the this webpage: internetmarketingleaningcenter.com/inspirational/ebook.html.
Lesson Three: Adapt to Change
It is said that change is the one single permanent thing on this planet (i.e., next to taxes). Amazon changed the way it does business through the years. First it was an online book seller. Next it expanded into selling music and videos.
An an Internet entrepreneur you must also learn how to adapt to change. Change comes and goes. For example, in the early years of the Internet, people were wary of using credit cards in their online transactions.
Nowadays, the use of credit card is is like coffee in the morning. You can’t do without it.
Then there is the growing realization that blogs are not just for personal records. Blogs are here to stay – to help your business grow.
Lesson Four: Have a Business Model
Since we are on the topic of Amazon, you could use Amazon as your model. You could run your own business like Amazon during its early years.
You could be selling your single information product now. Two weeks from today you will have added another back end product. Next month you will have introduced into your product line the inventory of the affiliate programs you have joined in.
Lesson Five: Add Content to your Website
If your web site is content based, you should be adding new content every day. Casual visitors to your web site will become your regular guests when they see new content every time they come to your site. These visitors will in the end become your regular customers.
Lesson Six: Be a Generalist
A generalist is one who does a multitude of things. In computer language this is known as multi-tasking. This has been the culture at Amazon. You as the single person in your own business must be a generalist, too. This means doing and knowing everything that goes in and out of your enterprise.
You don’t know any HTML coding? This is tolerable. You must strive however to understand at least the basic formatting that goes into you site code. This way you can make small insertions into your web pages when your web designer is nursing a cold or is out of town. Or you can learn a thing or two on scripting.
By the way, you will learn a lot about succeeding in your own business from the free resources offered at googlingprofit.com.
Lesson Seven: Let Your Work Ethic Shows
Jeff Bezos was the company CEO and he and his wife were the first workers at Amazon. Their work ethic was marked with hard work and consistency, among others. These traits were handed down to their employees through the years.
To succeed and last long in your Internet business, you should work hard to put your business online in the fastest and frugal manner possible. The important thing to consider is to start up and put your small business online early and rapidly. If you have to wake up at two in the morning to do your Internet work, by all means stick to this routine.
