ABOUT THE EBOOK
The title of the ebook pretty much explains what this ebook is; An Interview with Sara Brown. Inside Sara divulges a lot of key information which many an Internet Marketer would find useful.
In the ebook Sara discusses:
• Her best discovery about the Internet!
• The best discovery of her Life!
• Her previous Jobs!
• The formula she uses to launch a New Product!
• Where she gets her Ideas!
• How easy it is to set up an Income Stream!
• Her first major success in Internet Marketing!
• The most important money making skill a person can have as an Internet Marketer!
• Why some people aren’t successful Online!
• Some of the real life income streams she has used in the past and uses Today!
I found this ebook an interesting read. Although it is not the most in depth Internet Marketing ebook out there it gave me some useful ideas to consider. The ebook starts with general questions about Sara’s past achievements, jobs, and income streams. Towards the middle of the ebook and until the end Sara talks in detail about some of the income streams she has set up in the past.
The most interesting parts of the ebook I found were about Sara’s offline income streams. These are a classic example of an idea that involved ‘Thinking Outside the Box’ and ones that get your mind rolling for similar ideas. One of them was an ingenious idea involving a car boot sale and the other involving winches. She also talks about one of her online income streams involving getting babies to sleep, a subject that Sara again had very little knowledge of before she started up the income stream. Other interesting things covered in this ebook include the rumour that Sara Brown is in fact Tony Shepherd.
GOOD POINTS
• Provides real life examples of income streams Sara has used both on and offline to generate an income.
• An additional interview ebook with Tony Shepherd is provided absolutely FREE.
• Relatively low priced in comparison to similar ebooks.
BAD POINTS
• Since it is an interview ebook it does not provide you with actual systems you can implement.
• Relatively short when compared to other ebooks (only 36 pages).
HOW I HAVE GAINED FROM AN INTERVIEW WITH SARA BROWN
The main thing I gained from An Interview with Sara Brown is from her offline income streams. This got me thinking about ways that I could make money offline. This in turn led me to research ways I could make money offline in an area that I had expertise. A quick search of the forums helped me formulate a simple idea which was initially spawned from reading this interview.
Ebook Review: How to turn Auction Traffic into Cash!!!
EBOOK DETAILS
File Size: 1,071kb Zipped, 1,122b Unzipped.
Number of Pages: 45
Format: Adobe Acrobat (.pdf)
Subject: A guide to using eBay traffic to create a lifetime customer base for virtually any business.
Other Information: Can be bought with Jim Cockrum’s other ebook “The Silent Sales Machine Hiding on eBay” as a discounted, package deal.
ABOUT JIM COCKRUM (AUTHOR OF HOW TO TURN AUCTION TRAFFIC INTO CASH)
The author Jim Cockrum, is a self confessed eBay freak. He also runs “Creative Ebay Selling,” the Internets largest eBay success newsletter with over 90,000 subscribers and growing by the day. Jim has helped launch multiple internet businesses and has used the internet as his sole source of income since 2002.
ABOUT THE EBOOK
How to turn Auction Traffic into Cash is Jim Cockrum’s followup to the hugely successful “Silent Sales Machine Hiding on eBay.” Just like it’s predecessor, How to turn Auction Traffic into Cash is a guide to gaining massively from eBay’s huge amounts of traffic. This time instead of using this traffic to promote Silent Sales Machines, Jim shows you how to use this traffic to build up your mailing list. eBay gets 1.5 billion page views per month, there are over 100 million members, and 80,000 people sign up every day, so it is one of the best but also most underutilised sources of traffic available to any seller. The topics covered in How to turn Auction Traffic into Cash include:
• The real power of eBay!!
• The rules of the eBay game!!
• Tapping into the power step by step!!
• A step by step guide to setting up your newsletter and subscription forms on eBay whilst complying with eBay policy!!
Like with “The Silent Sales Machine Hiding on eBay” the main selling point of this ebook is that you can utilise the huge amounts of traffic on eBay to build up a mailing list. This amount of traffic would take a huge amount of time, effort, and money to gain using other means. If you are not currently building up a subscriber list then you are missing out on lots of benefits including repeat sales, increased trust in you as a seller, and a highly targeted source of traffic. However, like with Jim’s last ebook, to implement the ideas in How to turn Auction Traffic into Cash means you will have to invest quite a lot of time and effort initially. It will also create additional expense for your business (in paying the autoresponder fees). Like I said in my review of “The Silent Sales Machine Hiding on eBay” if you are willing to put the time and effort in, then you will find this ebook useful. If you are not willing or ready to expand your eBay business in a creative and new dimension then this ebook is not for you.
GOOD POINTS
• If you are currently only selling on eBay and not following up on auction visitors, How to turn Auction Traffic into Cash lays wide open the huge opportunities you are missing out on.
• How to turn Auction Traffic into Cash tells you utilise eBay’s huge levels of traffic, and build up a mailing list, (which in turn provides you with many benefits), whilst sticking to eBay policy.
• The ebook provides a step-by-step guide to setting up a newsletter system in your eBay auctions complete with screen shots. Even if you are completely unfamiliar with webforms you will find this guide easy to follow.
• Building up a mailing list of subscribers provides you with many benefits including customer loyalty, customer trust, a highly targeted source of traffic, and the ability to sell products outside of eBay (meaning no eBay fees).
• Once the webforms and followup messages are in place, building your mailing list is virtually automated. All you have to do is write the broadcast messages when you want to do a mass-mailing to your list.
BAD POINTS
• To build a mailing list requires additional monthly expenditure on an autoresponder service.
• If you are running lots of auctions they will all need to be edited to implement these ideas, which can be very time consuming.
• The growth rate of your mailing list when using these methods is slightly exaggerated in this ebook.
HOW I HAVE GAINED FROM HOW TO TURN AUCTION TRAFFIC INTO CASH
How to turn Auction Traffic into Cash is the ebook that ked to me setting up my own mailing list. Prior to this I had been using eBay’s basic Shop Newsletter tool which really cannot compete with a proper autoresponder service. Since I now run multiple websites as well as an eBay store, a newsletter is really the best way to communicate to all my visitors. Using the ideas in How to turn Auction Traffic into Cash I have been able to place web sign up forms on all my eBay pages as well as all my website pages, which has allowed me to maximise my subscription rate.
Top 2 Essentials for Successful Internet Marketing
You want to be successful in internet marketing, right? Then read along to find out the 2 MOST important things you need to have success online.
The most important thing to remember when you first begin internet marketing is to build a list. What I mean when I say this is you must have some way of capturing the email addresses of those who come to visit your site. This is very possible to do; all you need to do is set-up an autoresponder account. How it works is when a visitor comes to your site, they see your sign up form, put in their name and email, or whatever information you are asking for, and then they get an instant response email from you saying “Welcome” or “Thanks for signing up for blank” This way you have captured the email address for future emails you send out to promote your website/products etc. Since your visitor willingly gave their name and/or email address to you, any further emails sent won’t seen as spam. This is important because spam sucks, and anyone who gets a bunch of spam is never a happy camper. Also, you should always include a removal link at the end of your emails to give them the option to remove themselves from your mailing list. I have personally found it annoying when I can’t find a removal link in an email and I keep getting them sent to me. Be professional in everything you do.
Another essential for internet marketing online is your own website. Now when I say essential I don’t mean you absolutely HAVE to have a website, but it is very HIGHLY recommended. The reason for this is because it is your space to sell your products/services. It is your virtual “real estate.” You own this website and you can create it anyway you like. You can also create your own website address that no one else has! Make it something easy to remember to keep those visitors coming back for more! Making a website isn’t hard to do. It just takes a little time on your part, but in the end you will be very happy you did.
So go out and build that website and get that autoresponder account. It is guaranteed that without these two essentials you will not have the success you could have with them.
The Amazing, Profit Producing Ebook
While I was surfing the internet for opportunities to increase my flow of income, I came across a great concept. It was an idea I was never aware of before, but was happy that I found. The concept of an e-Book, or electronic book was what I had discovered. It is a book that can be purchased and downloaded to ones computer instantly. When purchasing a traditional book, there is a risk of it not being in stock. If this is the case, one would have to wait much longer. There is no waiting for shipping after the purchase of an e-Book because it is simply a digital file that is transferred in the form of a PDF document or other medium. This is a huge advantage because you are saving time and money on postage, printing costs and other materials needed to ship out a product to your customers. You are also saving space in your home because other tangible products would need to be stored. An e-Book can be published literally within a few days or even hours.
E-Books bring Web-like interactivity to the reading experience. Clicking directly on the electronic page allows you to look up the meanings of unfamiliar words, explore cross-referenced passages in the same book or related works, or even activates links to Web sites or multimedia elements such as sound, video, and animation. E-Books can be secured so only you or other authorized users can read and/or amend them. It is also possible to prevent unauthorized printing, copying or extraction of the content whilst still making the e-Book universally viewable and easily shared. They can be updated easily and more often so that the information is always current. This is a great aspect because we are in the information age and information that was at one point cutting edge could be obsolete within a matter of months. If in the end one would rather read off paper instead of a computer, e- Books can always be printed!
Providing Information Will Boost Your Web Site
I was at a meeting the other day when one member of the audience came up to chat to me after I had given my presentation. ‘I agree with what you told us,’ she said, ‘but it only applies to some people. After all in my business there’s nothing I can turn into an ebook.’ Within a minute of chatting to me she had developed two ideas for ebooks.
Now, I’m not saying I’m some kind of miracle worker. However, often I discover that many people who run their own business can’t see the wood for the trees. They are so tied up in delivering solutions to their existing customers, they can’t see what else might be possible. As an example, I was talking to a chap from the Midlands the other day who runs a plastic mouldings company. He said to me that my ideas for ebooks only work in the service industry and they they couldn’t possibly work within his sector.
A few minutes later we had developed an idea for an ebook which he is now going off to get written. As a search term, “plastic mouldings” gets around 45 searches a day in the UK. At the moment his web site gets almost none of those searches; instead his web site exists as a brochure to people in the know – largely existing customers. What this means is, his web site is missing important traffic that could provide business.
So, now he is writing an ebook on the theme of ‘how to use plastic and save the environment’. He will be making this available free of charge – but he could add future ebooks for which he will charge, such as ‘how to specif icy projects using plastic’. Now, he’s not going to become a millionaire selling such ebooks. But the free ebook will attract traffic he might otherwise have lost and the paid for ebook will finance his Google AdWords campaigns. The result will be much more traffic to his web site at no cost, perhaps even at a profit. Suddenly, my chap from the Midlands realised that the key to unlocking the future success of his company was selling information.
Like many people, he has begun to realise that Internet users are mostly searching for information. We sometimes forget that when the Internet really started to take off, just ten years ago, it was called ‘the Information Superhighway’. Nowadays, it is largely the ‘brochure superhighway’. Having a web site which is just a brochure for your business is only going to get you so far. To take that next step upwards to greater online success you need to be trading in information.
Much of the information you provide could be free; but it needs to be practical, useful information targeted specifically to particular groups of people. Some of the information you provide could be sold; that will provide you with an additional income stream you previously might not have thought about.
Information marketing is an essential component of any business online these days. Without marketing information you will not gain as much success as you would do. Indeed, I spoke with one marketing guru the other day who has dramatically changed his business, based on just two months of testing online. He had one web site where he tweaked the keywords and did all the optimisation tricks he could. He had another web site which he didn’t optimise but for which he wrote several articles and got them published widely around the Internet. Guess what? The information won hands down against optimisation; more links, more clicks, higher ranking.
Providing information is essential online. Whether it’s in the form of ebooks, specialist web sites, email courses or traditional books and reports is neither here nor there. You need to be in the information business to attract interest in your main business.
Original Concepts To Market On Your Website
If you can offer something unique, that no other website has, then you will have original content for your website. You can start to achieve this by looking up information that would be of interest to your “target” or “niche” market. Start by looking for unanswered questions, and then try to answer those questions. Sometimes it can take a lot of time and research to come up with a solution, but when you do find a solution, what once seemed like non-existent information, is now easily found on your website.
Just because you have figured out a solution, that does not mean that the solution didn’t exist at all, usually it just isn’t readily available on the net. It could be that the information is being taught in seminars for very absorbent costs. If you can develop an ebook, or something of the like, you could be giving people the exact same valuable information for a fraction of what those big seminar places are charging for that information. This is just one valuable technique that my mentors have taught me about.
Also, if you find more valuable information on the same subject, you can always just add to your product, or ebook, and then re-release it as a second addition. This can make you even more money. Usually, the people who origianally bought the first version, will make comments, or ask questions, so all you have got to do is give them what they want, and then resell it to them.
It isn’t hard to come up with new ideas, or seemingly unavailable information, you just need to keep your “niche” or “target” market in mind when trying to find a new topic of interest. You will need to ask yourself a lot of questions, and notice if any of these questions go unanswered.

Niche Market Discovery
What is a niche Market? It is simply a group of people with a common interest. Some examples are hobbies, problems, desires, needs and hundreds of others. People are interested in information to help solve their problems. First you will need to find large groups of people interested in the same thing. Think of ideas you want to research. Don’t waste time and money marketing to people who have no interest in products or services. Only focus on groups of people already interested in your product or service.
Several things are very important in selecting a niche. First, find a group of people with a common interest, then decide what they want or need. Put together a product or service to satisfy that need. Finally, ask if they are willing to pay for this information.
Seek out popular markets and make sure there is a large interest in that market. Some types of markets people have interest are money making ideas, self help, health and fitness, hobbies, religious & spiritual just to name a few.
Places to find ideas for a hot niche include Clickbank, magazines, Amazon.com, discussion groups, infomercials, direct mail, forums and blogs.
Once you have found a nich then it’s time to research your competitors and do all the research you can on that particular product. Make a decision if you are excited enough about developing around the product or service.
Once you have decided it’s time to move forward, you will need to develop a web site to promote your product or service.
All ideas will not work out. The main thing is to not get discouraged. If it does not work, find a different nich and try again. Just keep promoting your product or service and the rewards will come. There is only one thing left to do and that is TAKE ACTION!
Marketing your web site – Part 3 – Using Email, e-books, letterhead and magazines
Using Email to market your web site
This is a very touchy subject. One that needs to be addressed and that you need to understand. Email marketing falls into three categories. First is simple, you place a signature line in your email program that automatically adds your signature block to each out going email. This signature line identifies your web site and a brief tag line or catch phase. Every time you respond or send an email, your signature advertises your business. No problems with that. However, the next two types of email marketing are very touchy.
By now, everyone has heard of SPAM. Your definition may be different from mine and from the governments. However, you look at it, SPAM is unwanted email. Now email marketing requires that we send emails to our potential customers. This can be done either with or without their permission. Sending email without the permission of the recipient put us in a bad light. Often resulting is negative feelings and responses from the recipient. This is bad for business. If you piss off the potential customer, well…. they are no longer a potential customer as they have deleted you email and won’t be visiting your site. You have wasted valuable time and money. So, the only people you will be sending any marketing emails to will be those that have requested information from you or have agreed to receive information from you. This is called permission based email.
Where can you find people who are willing to receive your emails? First provide a place on your web site to gather the names and addresses of your visitors. Offer them something in exchange, such as a free publication, or your newsletter, or something else of potential value to them. Let them know when they sign up that you will from time to time be sending them information. Include in the email a means to unsubscribe at any time. As people sign up you are building your email list which you can market to as often as you like. I wouldn’t recommend more than twice a month.
There are other web sites that maintain a list of people who want to hear from your. This permission based method is usually based on a particular subject matter. Such as hobbies, business ideas, child care etc. You can find them on the web by searching for mailing list.
Emails are an inexpensive way to keep in touch with your customers. If you have a brick and motor store, try to get the email addresses of your current customers and add them to the list as well. You will be surprised at how much extra business can come from a personalize email about a special you are offering for their support over the last year etc.
Using E-books to market your web site
What can your own E-zine or E-book do for your business or web site? How about:
Sell more products or services. An e-zine/e-book can increase your credibility, making it easier to sell your product or service as well as those of others in which you have a stake.
Attract more affiliates to help sell your products or services. This form of advertising is viral in it approach. E-zines and e-books get passed from person to person. Creating more interest which makes people want to jump on board and become part of that success.
Establish yourself as an expert in your field, creating more ‘believability’ and trust.
People don’t buy from strangers. With you e-zine or e-book you become better known to them. When the time comes they need or want your products or services, there’s no question who they’ll buy them from — YOU!
Show your visitors and clients everything you can really do for them, maximizing your sales efforts.
Build a base of customers who are ready to hire you, buy from you, evangelize for you and create more fans for you.
Effortlessly spread the word about your business via “viral marketing.”
Create new revenue streams from selling ad space and recommending other products that you’re an affiliate of. See our affiliate page for more information.
Become a recognized publisher. Have others writing your articles, advertisers paying for exposure in your publication.
Here is an IMPORTANT point, capture the email addresses of your Web site visitors, gaining permission to market to them over and over again and multiple chances closing the sale. Not to mention the sales of other products or services.
Keep in touch with all of your customers, prospects, and associates &ndash on a regular basis.
Simple tips for creating e-zines and e-books
Package your knowledge on a regular basis into tips and articles that can be reprinted in other publications for tons of additional exposure and traffic. There are thousands of ebooks and e-zines in publication today. Most are specialized in a particular segment of the web or interest. When you find an ebook/ezine that reaches the people that may be interested in your product or service. Contact them to see if they take outside articles. If they do, send them an article or two that you may have written. Include information on your business and its web site If they publish your article, your name and web site will be listed. This is a great way of getting free advertising and traffic to your site.
Another way to get articles for your e-books is to find someone to write them for you. Much like the process above but in this case you are the one publishing the material. Use your web site, chat rooms, forums etc to advertise for articles.
Save thousands of dollars printing and postage by producing your newsletter online instead of printing it. Adobe Writer is a good program for your e-books and any email program can be used for e-zines.
We have several resources in our download area on ebook. One of the better programs for creating ebooks is Deadeasy although not free it makes a great tool for creating ebooks. If you would like more information on Deadeasy, click here.
Using Letterhead to market your web site
Every business uses paper to correspond with its customers, vendors and other businesses. Many small businesses and home based businesses today use the computer a and a word processor to generate this correspondence whether it be printed or electronic we all do. So how can we use this correspondence to market our business? Simple, create a letterhead template and make it your default document when ever you create a business related correspondence.
In your letterhead template make sure you have your website address and you company slogan (if you have one) prominently displayed. I have even seem some letterhead lately that simply has the website address listed and no physical address as many companies are Internet based or figure that you will have access to the Internet and can visit their site to look up the street address if needed. This is actually a clever move, in that it get you to visit the site, which is what our marketing is trying to do to begin with.
Using Magazines to market your web site
Those articles that you wrote or had written for your business can also be sent to magazine and newspapers for publication. Each one that is printed is free advertisement for your business that last for years. Just think how many issues are passed around from person to person before they end up in the trash. I saw several magazines at the Laundromat that were from 1996-1998 that people were still reading. You can do a search on the web for publications in your area of expertise. Visit their web sites and find the editors email address. Be sure to find out the policy for submitting an article for publication and follow it. Some editors don’t like it when the mail box is full of unsolicited articles that do not conform to their policies and will just trash the email instead of replying to you.
Make Money Online By Selling Information
The Internet has been dubbed The Information Superhighway and it certainly lives up to the name. Everyday, millions of people use the Internet and the World Wide Web to seek out information; whether it’s reviews of a new dishwasher, cheapest deals on package holidays, what’s on at the local theatre or tracking down old friends. Chances are, if you’re looking for information, it can be found somewhere online.
Whilst the Internet is undoubtedly a rich sea of data, not all of it is useful information, relevant to the consumer. This, combined with the desire for instant gratification that the Internet instils in its users, builds up a demand for the right information – right NOW!
Despite the hype about making money quickly, easily, out of thin air or the dot com boom there is money to be made on the Internet. It’s a simplification of the process, but if you’re someone with the capability to meet some of this demand for information then you have an opportunity to make money online. As a supplier of information, you have the ability to help make the Internet more useful for the consumer by delivering what they want, when they want it. You can, of course, charge a fee for providing this convenience.
Whether or not you actually make a sale is another matter. Just like most other purchasing decisions, if the consumer considers the value of your offer as being greater than its cost (or the pain of not purchasing) then you’re likely to make a sale. Get the balance wrong and they’ll likely move on.
Whilst a lot of information is freely available online, it’s widely accepted that the age of the commercial Internet has arrived. Some may argue that there shouldn’t be any cost associated with information and whilst you may be able to find the same information at no cost somewhere on the Internet, often the time saved and the convenience of getting exactly what you want is considered worthy of the expense. As an example, you could try and borrow someone’s copy of a newspaper or you could pay to access the latest breaking news from the comfort of your own desk. Unsurprisingly, a large number of people chose the latter when the New York Times switched to a subscription model back in 2003.
There’s a great demand for information online. If you’re one of the people who can supply to this demand, especially if the information is specialist or niche, then there’s little to stop you from charging for your services. With a suitable marketplace to pitch your offer, there’s nothing to hold you back from trying is there?
Make Money Online
Some people are just crazy if they think that they can make a profitable income from taking pictures of their old stuff and trying to sell it on an online auction site! Yes, I am sure they probably do make a little bit of money, but if you want to make good money, then read on.
Most people try to make money by using other websites, because many internet marketers make it seem impossible, or at least very difficult, to create a website of your own. It really isn’t difficult at all, as my mentors have taught me.
Yes, there are many software packages that you can buy, or you could hire someone to build and update your website for you, but why pay when it is so simple to do it yourself? If you are serious about making money online, you simply must have your own website.
Even if you know absolutely nothing about developing your own website, there are tons of resources on the web that will show you how. There is one site, in particular, who have been guiding me in developing my own website, that will provide all the information and resources you need to create your own website, and it’s all virtually free.
Well, now that you know that it is fairly simple to build your own website, you ask, “what should my website offer?” My mentors will help you with that as well, they call it “niche discovery”. But here is a clue for you, if you can gather information, and put it all together in one place, like an ebook, then you have something very valuable to offer, for it seems that ebooks are all the rage these days. Ebooks are digital, so there is no waiting period for the delivery of the book. Plus, with no cost for publication, there is virtually no overhead. There is no waiting period for publication either. Ebooks are just one of the many things that you could offer on your website, and my mentors have plenty of ideas to share with you, to help you decide what it is you want to offer.
So, you’ve written an ebook, you’ve created your website, so now what? Now, you go and get that website hosted somewhere, and upload the ebook to your website. This process is all covered, step by step, with tips and tools to help you along the way, by my mentors, and you will find their link on my website.. And yes, my website was created with the guidance of my mentors. Register, and you will receive incredible reports, and tips, and other goodies, for FREE! Come visit now! The stuff you will learn is unbelievable! This stuff is awesome! Here’s to your success!
