What Is Viral Marketing and What Can It Do For Me?
What is Viral Marketing?
Use this thinking exercise: Which is better?
(1) $25,000 a day for 30 days or (2) 1 cent that doubles every day for 30 days
If you chose option 1 you might want to reconsider; the first option gives you $750,000 at the end of the month, the second gives you over 5 Million Dollars! (You do the math)
Viral marketing is a lot like gossip; it starts with one person and multiplies like wildfire throughout the whole neighborhood.
How does this happen? One person tells another person, that person, promising not to tell anyone, tells 5 more. Those 5 people each tell 5 other people, and this process continues until finally, everybody knows the rumour.
Viral marketing works exactly the same way. If you tell just 5 people about your website, and those 5 each tell 5 more, 5 becomes 25, becomes 125, becomes 625, becomes 3125, becomes 15625…
…and it keeps multipliying. Just like one cent will eventually turn into $5,000,000 if you double it for 30 days.
How to get Viral Marketing Working for you in 5 Minutes or Less for FREE!
With the Ultimate Traffic System, you can plug into a proven viral marketing system and generate thousands of guaranteed hits for free!
How it Works!
When a new member joins the Ultimate Traffic System they are first instructed to enter their name, email address, desired password and website.
Then they are automatically taken to a rotating page. The first page in the rotation will be the sponsor’s website. After a short period of time you will be asked to click a next button. The next page will belong to the next person in your sponsor’s upline. The page after that will be your sponsor’s sponsor’s upline, and so on. Each new page is another website in your sponsor’s upline until it reaches seven levels.
When you’re finished viewing all the pages, (this only takes a few minutes), you will be asked to click a button to confirm your membership. You will then be emailed your self-replicated website to promote to your visitors, with your memberID. (so we know that you’re the sponsor)
Your website will start appearing on other member’s websites as soon as someone is on your second level. It will continue to multiply throughout hundreds of other member’s uplines as long as they keep referring new members themselves. You’ll soon see a steady rise in your traffic which will increase every day.
Keep in mind, there is no way for people to cheat. Your position is 100% secure through our automated system.
Just like a rumour, your website will spread throughout the virtual neighborhood.
And, if you decide to change your URL at any time, new members will see it. This way you can promote hot new products to your well established UTS network!

Why Educated Consumers are Better Customers
Educated Consumers
Not too long ago, a colleague asked me why we invest so heavily in consumer education. We have made a conscious decision to spend marketing dollars on consumer education for a very simple reason. Educated consumers are simply better customers.
Lets take a closer look at why educated consumers are better customers.
Less Technical Support.
1.) Educated consumers require less technical support. The reduced technical support results in lower overhead costs. Often educated consumers can further reduce the support burden by assisting or educating other customers or potential customers in forums, newsgroups, user groups or elsewhere in an industry community.
Often users with a strong technical background or understanding will often assist in the forums and provide users technical support. The result: an educated consumer is a happy and helpful customer.
Easier Sales.
2.) Generally speaking educated consumers have a better understanding of the technology, how it can be used and how it will benefit them. A customers understanding that an application will result in saved time, can easily justify the software’s expense. Cost becomes less of an issue when long-term value is understood.
Reasonable Expectations.
3.) I hate to say it, but back in 1996 when we started out, consumer ignorance resulted in unrealistic expectations. Consumers purchased expecting that software would do their dishes and vacuum. Regardless of how well the software did what it was designed to do, if a customer expects it to do something else, they will not be a satisfied customer.
Educated consumers have realistic expectations and understanding of what can and cannot be accomplished.
Kinds of Consumer Education
1. Articles.
Educational articles not only propagate the success and understanding of a technology, but well written articles will often establish the writer as an industry expert.
Example .feedforall.com/newsletter.htm (on the bottom)
2. White Papers.
Real world examples of how other users are using software to resolve problems or save time are often great illustrations of technology in action.
Example .notepage.net/whitepapers.htm
3. PPT Demonstrations.
Power point presentations not only assist with user education, but also can be used by User Groups to further evangelize and educate potential users.
All in all, educated consumers result in a happier user with realistic expectations. Ignorance often results in dissatisfaction and unrealistic expectations while education leads to long term happy and helpful customers.

Putting it on Paper: Book Review
Dawn Josephson, author of 14 books, has written a fantastic author resource with her latest book Putting it on Paper &ndash The ground rules for creating promotional pieces that sell books. This book discusses the development and use of contents within a media kit, and other marketing materials. From cover letters, press releases, book reviews, bios, sell and catalog sheets to articles &ndash Dawn covers it all.
Each chapter concludes with two brief, but very helpful sections. ‘Frequently Asked Questions’ is an essential ingredient to this well-rounded book because it touches on creativity and exceptions to the rule. Her section ‘Key Points’ acts as a summery to the main ideas within the chapter.
There are many excellent samples of actual promotional pieces, which give authors a variety of choices and ideas to use in creating the content for their own marketing materials. The samples are also precluded with notes on the construction of the piece so that the reader can fully understand the purpose of each opening, paragraph or by-line. Dawn shows many ways to tweak text for each piece and then closes with how to present promotional materials to various markets.
I really enjoyed the thought provoking quotes she used throughout the book and felt Putting it on Paper was quite inspirational. As an author who has spent a year of intensive marketing research and hands on application, I can say that several of Dawn’s tips are unique and I cannot wait to try them. The information on multiple press releases, mock book reviews and catalog sheets were particularly helpful for my own applications.
I highly recommend this useful book to any author who is facing book promotion. Putting it on Paper will certainly help authors get noticed.

Sound Bodies through Sound Therapy – Book Review
Dorinne Davis has written many books that concentrate on the subjects of hearing and sound. In the well-researched textbook, Sound Bodies through Sound Therapy, she looks at the concept of sound being a nutrient for our bodies.
There are 11 detailed and well-planned chapters, each of which opens with a quote and closes with a useful chapter synopsis. This book is not so technical that an individual or patient would find it daunting, yet it is quite thorough and incorporates both the independent and scientific findings that a therapist would need to know.
The historical use of music in healing was quite interesting. Because of our drum business, it was particularly interesting to read that regular steady rhythms can restore a normal, healthy pulse, sedating the left brain and allowing the right brain to be more creative. I was also amazed that the US Army used music therapy to accelerate healing in their wounded and ailing during WWII.
Dorinne explains that each living molecule has a vibration that causes frequency and this is the driving theory behind using sound as a healing therapy. The author describes the physics of how sound affects various mediums and why sound could be used to eradicate cancer and tumors. According to Dorinne, sound therapy could also be applied to many medical situations – stroke, autism, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, learning and listening difficulties and even physical injuries.
It was very surprising to learn that ‘everyday’ environmental toxins can have such a dramatic effect on brain functions and hearing. The ear affects so much more than we may realize, including balance and emotions.

The Frugal Book Promoter – Book Review
The Frugal Book Promoter &ndash How to do What Your Publisher Won’t is the third book written by author Carolyn Howard &ndashJohnson, but by far &ndash it is not the last. Already she is planning on releasing a book of poetry. The Frugal Book Promoter has won the USA Book News award for Best Book 2004, and has also been an Irwin Award winner.
For Dave and I, the promotion of our two books and promoting the upcoming e-book has been an uphill battle. Intensive research on our part for more than three years has prepared us for most of the work, and because of this research and hands-on experience I found very little in this book that was actually new to me. I also found it somewhat lacking in areas that could have used more attention, such as its organization.
Carolyn’s sentence structure and grammar use was confusing and frustrating at times for me to read. There was also repetitive use of information and examples, which I found a bit redundant. Personally, I would have preferred another method of organization for the book. For instance, there are many aspects of reviews, but I felt all of these should be discussed in one chapter rather than scattered throughout the book. While few links on the site were new to me, of the dozen or so that I tried one or two were no longer active. This is no fault of the author, however, and is due solely to the ever-changing Internet.
However, I was reminded of some weak areas in our marketing plan and was given some incentive for those areas I am about to broach in our schedule. I appreciated many of the links that I discovered and have had excellent responses from them.
Overall, I think The Frugal Promoter is a book that reads like you are sitting across from the author having a discussion. This is an aspect of the writing style that I certainly enjoyed. It could be considered a useful beginner’s tool that would save time by providing links, basic promotion options to choose from and several marketing ideas that are outside the norm.

How To Use Pop-Up’s Effectively To Generate More Profits!
What I’m about to explain to you will change to way you do your online marketing Today, Tomorrow and Years to come with little effort on your part.
This simple But effective technique involves the use of a ‘Pop-Up’ on your website, but, the difference between this technique and just a standard ‘Pop-Up’ or ‘Exit Pop-Up’ as we all see them is that when your potential prospects see them they are more then willing to give you there Name and Email address.
Why you ask?
Because your offering them something of Value for FREE.
As you well know the word ‘Free’ is one of the most Powerful words on the internet when used correctly and when combined with an ‘Pop-Up’… it could make you alot of extra money with little effort.
As a marketer myself, a simple Name and Email Address is worth hundreds, if not thousands of extra dollars a year if I collect and follow-up my leads properly, but, the questions that always seem to arise are…
…How do I do it? …What steps do I need to take?
So… now that I have your attention, let me explain to you how this can be achieved in a simple ‘Step-By-Step’ fashion.
Step #1:
What do you have that you can give away to your visitors as they leave your website that is of value to your visitor and more importantly, will benefit from?(Here’s a hint… Free Reports, eBooks, eCourses, etc.)
(Note: Give away brandable ebooks, reports, etc. with your affiliate links embedded within them. Make sure they’re related to the subject of the content.)
Step #2:
Once you’ve figured out what your going to give away, put together some ad copy for your ‘Pop-Up’ that your going to build that will grab your visitors attention and get them to sign-up for your ‘Free Offer’ or ‘Give Away’ as they leave your website.
(Note: You don’t have write alot, just a few attention grabbing sentences pointing out the ‘Benefits’ of your offer.)
Step #3:
Write a short Solo. You need this because after they sign-up through your web-form from your pop-up, this is what they will receive in there Inbox with either download info or other instructions that you specify in order for them to receive there Report, eBook, eCourse, etc.
(Note: Also, make sure you attach a ‘Signature File’ at the end of your Solo. Many marketer’s forget this part and are losing out on alot of extra profits. Don’t Forget!)
Step #4:
You need to go to your ‘Auto-responder’ management console and set-up an seperate auto-responder with the solo you wrote for your ‘Free Offer’ and/or ‘Give Away’.
Once you’ve set your auto-responder its now time for you to copy the HTML code for your auto-responder’s Web-Form and paste it into the ‘Pop-Up’ you just put together.
(Note: Auto-responder services may very. Simply follow there directions.)
Step #5:
This is the easy part, once you have completed all of the other steps, simply paste your ‘Pop-Up’ code into your desired webpage(s).
If you use pop-up software that creates and automatically inserts the code for you simply select the webpage you want the code to be placed on and the software will do the rest.
Now simply upload your newly formatted webpage and pop-up to your host and start sending it Traffic!
As a general rule, test out your pop-up for your first week a see how it pulling. You may need to tweek it if its not performing to your stardards. All it takes is just a few words to be changed to make your pop-up a success.
That’s it… your Done!
These are the 5 basic steps needed to turn your website into an fully ‘Automated Sales Machine’ that will automatically follow-up your leads 24/7/365 without you lifting a finger.
It may take a little time to set-up initially, but it’ll be worth it in the long run.
Now, I just have one last tip for you.
If you really want to get the most out of your Pop-Up and the leads it brings in simply load-up your already set-up ‘Auto-Responder’ with 6 or 7(or however many you want) follow-up emails and set them to go out every 3 to 4 weeks.
For maximum results make sure that you target the particular Product or Service you are offering or promoting because it makes no sense to offer a Product or Service that doesn’t relate to what your initial offer was that they signed up for.
How to Earn Money in Retirement and Beat the Pension Crisis
The call to earn money in retirement is fast becoming a necessity and this is so because when you retire from the workplace you continue forevermore to face the prospect of escalating living expenses: food, shelter; clothing, power supply, insurances, communications, income tax, etc, with less left over than you had at your disposal before for enjoying the minor luxuries of life.
For the majority of seniors the prospect is doubly daunting as a direct result of vastly reduced incomings due to the world wide pension crisis and so the need to earn money in retirement becomes imperative.
What do you do when there is too much month left at the end of your pension; do you bite the bullet and settle for cutbacks in the quality of life?
Not inevitably so because with tried and tested guidance you can stretch your abilities to make some extra cash in retirement and for some this is not so much an option as a necessity.
How do you visualize life in retirement?
You have reached or are approaching your 60th/65th year and are eligible for retirement. Or maybe you’re only 50 and opted out early.
o Do you punch the air with a tightly clenched fist now that you have finally escaped from the workplace?
o Or do you ask yourself, ‘What do I do now?’
For many retirees, lounging around the house or lying in the sun in a deck chair is not a prerequisite for third age enjoyment and fulfilment.
While the world is undoubtedly aging and the number of elderly people is increasing, the current crop of senior citizens is in better health and lead longer, more active lives than their parents did.
o They want action, not eternal relaxation;
o Excitement, not enforced leisure;
o Accomplishment, not resignation.
Conventional retirement is just too dreary, and many remain emotionally unprepared to throw the working life concept entirely to the wind. Some could also make good use of opportunities to increase basic income.
So, in lieu of conventional retirement, a significant number of third age people are turning to entrepreneurship as an alternative.
With valuable commercial skills acquired through years of practical experience, many of these retirees give serious consideration to launching their own businesses. They believe they still have what it takes and are highly motivated to succeed on their own.
Is it hard to earn money in retirement?
o Is it so restrictive that only a small number can succeed?
o Is it so demanding that only able-bodied retirees can make a go of it?
o Is it so difficult that only the super-intelligent stand a chance?
No &ndash anyone can do it. If, for example, you are disabled or handicapped to some degree and would find it impossible to engage in a physical money-making activity you can still participate in ‘online’ enterprise – for which alternative route you will find many options.
