The Most Obvious Secret In Affiliate Marketing

January 28, 2009 - 9:43 am

Everyone wants to get ahead of the game, and it’s common that people have used

unscrupulous methods, spam and scams to achieve those ends. I would like to suggest

that you don’t have to do those, and all it takes is one thing, the best kept secret

in affiliate marketing!

If you realize, affiliate marketing is a simple thing to do. You merely find a hot

product in a market, and drive traffic that converts. Your cost of promotion will

turn up to be really a way to help you to make profits. It’s just a business

expense.

At the end of the day, people who forget the aim of affiliate marketing will get

extremely frustrated and confused. Is it really just about putting up Google

pay-per-click ads? Or is it about using search engine optimization?

In my opinion, the most obvious secret in affiliate marketing is really the idea of

being an “affiliate”. What does it mean? Affiliating means you create some kind of

relationship with the people you connect with. It describes the closeness that you

have with people. After all, if you are using affiliate marketing, isn’t it

important for you connect with people? So let me ask: do you call your affiliates?

Do you contact people to meet them up face to face?

Sure, there are constraints, but consider the possibilities.

As an affiliate marketer, there are three concrete ways to enhance your relationship

with your affiliates.

First, give them a priority call on a regular basis. Once you feel that you have a

good fit with your affiliates, call them to let them know how important it is for

you to have a connection with them. Often, teleseminars can be run to develop a

positive learning atmosphere with your audience while allowing a guest to come on

the call to contribute. If you want to learn about teleseminars, the best person in

the industry is probably my friend, Alex Mandossian. You can find him at

Second, understanding what they are able to do, and write about them on a regular

basis so as to beef up their credibility in the eyes of your audience. While you

might think this is a complete waste of time, it’s a process known as ‘edification’.

When you edify a person positively, they gain credibility. It also helps you foster

a positive relationship with them. One person I know who talks about this a lot is

Matt Morris, the founder and CEO of Success University. You can find out what his

business is (hint &ndash it has got everything to do with “affiliating”) at

Third, help plug any gaps they might have. It’s always useful to help other people

to plug in their gaps, especially if there are problems with some area of their

business. Do it discreetly. Many times, however, a small gesture like this can bring

you a very long way.

Just Network, and Watch Your Business Grow!

June 21, 2008 - 5:00 pm

When it comes right down to the topic of how best to grow your online business, there is plenty of conflicting information on the internet. Why? Because everybody wants to make a dollar! Everybody has a program to sell, but few really offer a genuine program that helps YOU sell. What they offer is THEIR formula, not YOUR solution. “It worked for me”, they’ll say. Then, when it doesn’t work for you, they expect you to shoulder the blame. “Well, you didn’t do this right”, or “You didn’t follow the formula”. I don’t have time for those people. Here’s a fact: You already have the resources you need. You do not need to buy into anybody else’s program. For that matter, you don’t even need to buy into mine. All you really need to do is remember one simple word, “network”. Just network. Here are a few ideas to help bring it into focus.

Make Friends, Not Business Partners

This may seem contradictory to what you’ve learned or what you believe, but I’ve found the best people to do business with are the people who have earned my trust, my friends. I do not do business with those who assume I should just trust them. I’m sorry, but they’ve not earned my trust, and my trust can not be bought. Make friends, and do business with your friends. This is one reason why I refuse to throw my website on auto-pilot. I want people to know that there is actually another living, breathing person on the other end, and I want to be accessible to those people who choose to do business with me.

Wish Others Success

When you truly wish others success, you are attracting success. I make it my mantra. “I wish you success. I wish you success. I wish you success.” I truly do wish success to those I choose to do business with, because I choose to do business with those who would wish me the same success. I do business with friends.

Then, help your friends succeed. Trade banners, trade links, and really get into the business of promoting each other. Contribute to each other’s newsletter. Do what right and good for both, and don’t be afraid to take chances. Try something new.

Search For New Opportunities

Look for additional streams of revenue. Find opportunities that do not take you away from your business, but enhance your business. Affiliate programs, drop ship programs, joint ventures, and even MLMs can provide that stream of revenue. But, at the same time, be aware. Be careful. But be willing to follow your instinct. Just remember to make friends, not business partners.

By all means, don’t hesitate to contact me. I’d love to build a friendship and network with you!

Internet Moutains Not The Yellow Brick Road.

June 5, 2008 - 5:45 pm

Rick Beneteau a great author and the inovator of The Ezine Marketing Machine once wrote. “The road to success is often a steep and rocky one. There are mountains in your way, not on the roadmap that you must be prepared to climb.”

This one small portion of a paragraph stuck with me more then anything else I have read on the subject of success on the Internet.

This story is not about Rick or about roads Though. It is however about the great mountains to success that lay in front of each of the brave souls that dare to travel the Internet marketing super highway.

With any mountain there are many dangers. With narrows, overhangs, cliffs, boulders, and loose rocks, dangers every one.

Even to the best-trained mountaineer one wrong calculation, a bad dission or the wrong hand placement can plumit them spiraling down to disaster, to their doom.

Of course there is a lot of wonderful safety equipment that the trained mountain climber can choose from to make there climb to the top a safe one. Also I am quite sure any intelligent mountaineer wouldn’t ever think about climbing any mountain with out the proper education and a complete understanding of the terrain.

Just like that mountain. Marketing on the Internet has many dangers obstacles that could cause disaster for even the best of the Internet marketers. Anyone wanting to market anything on line should educate them self’s and get to know the terrain before ever taking that first step.

In my opinion education is far and above the single most important element a new internet marketer should strive for. Let me just mention that the best place that I know of, for any person just starting or even the long term Internet veteran to get the very best in depth Internet marketing education is at Success University.

I wish some one had shared this information about Success University with me when I was first thinking about starting my Internet marketing career.

Believe me I have spent a lot of sleepless nights and a lot of money along the way just to end up full circle, broke and clueless. Unfortunately for me in one way or another I fell pray to just about every scam artist out there.

After about a dozen Make A Million Dollars Over Night and Get A Zillion Email Address By This Time Tomorrow scams I smartened up. Oh did I mention thick headedness runs my family.

My point to all of this is that the road to riches in Internet marketing is not the wonderful yellow brick road that 90% if the emails and webpage’s that are sent your way each day will tell you it is. You can’t get a million dollars over night. No matter what the experts say, unless maybe a rich Uncle dies, or you win the lottery.

The only true way to succeed on the Internet today is to have a solid plan that includes education and a lot of hard work.

The education part, Success University can help you with. The hard work, Well That’s up to you.

How to Use Magnetic Marketing to Massively Multiply the Results of Your Advertising

March 12, 2008 - 5:57 pm

It works without fail, every time. It can work with everything you are selling or promoting. It works on the principle of giving before receiving, and of offering more in value than you are getting in cash. Your prospect must perceive an increase for themselves in order to want to interact with you. Magnetic marketing is the technique that does this. Then this same technique is used to convert a prospect to a sale or business partner.

What is magnetic marketing? It is a process of attracting leads to you by offering them something of value first. Using ezine classified advertising and solo ads for an example, don’t try to close the deal all at once by attempting to drive your prospect to your website. Instead, start by giving the targeted prospect an offer they can’t refuse.

Using my own business ad copy as an example, here is an ad I ran before I had put the magnetic marketing technique together for this business that is an example of NON magnetic marketing:

Catch the Buzz - Discover Revolutionary Health and Wealth!

As seen on TV Superfood is now yours to use and make $$ with

Low cost! No personal sponsoring to make money! No minimum!

Weekly Pay, 100% Matching Bonus, 2×7 matrix, Incredible Team

Visit and learn more right now: acai-4life.com

Admittedly, the ad copy is not my best, written off the cuff right when I had started with this new company. However this kind of advertising can and does work, don’t get me wrong! The thing is, it is only a trickle of results compared to the massive results you can get by incorporating magnetic marketing into your business model.

The main problem with this and so many other ads is: they all really want the prospect to get excited and ‘click here’ without offering anything in return to really motivate them.

For about $50 my ad ran and is right now still running to about 6 million ezine subscribers &ndash with an audience that is mostly small business and internet related. I got and am still getting that trickle of results.

Now how about transforming it into a magnetic marketing campaign?

Take that same $50 and micro-target your audience. Since my company pays quite well with retail sales I could find health-related ezines. Then you can either purchase classified ads or solos. Even with a small subscriber base of two or three thousand, you will get a lot of leads and sales. Your new magnetic marketing will now have ad copy reading something more like this:

Did you know Free Radicals Accelerate Aging and Cause Cancer?

Discover everything you NEED to know about the massive damage

they cause, & the most essential antioxidants needed to fight them.

Learn little known secrets of health, anti-aging and disease

prevention in this free e-course: vitalhealthrobotreply.com

(If you like, you can subscribe, the email address and series are real).

What makes this ad now magnetic is that instead of trying to ‘make the sale’ of even driving your prospect to your website right away, your prospect now has the drive to contact you. In doing this, they become your lead.

They want to receive valuable information on a topic that interests them. They are plugged into your autoresponder and at the bottom of each valuable article in the series you send them, you drive them to your website. They now see you as a valuable provider of information and are more inclined to visit your website and do business with you.

Magnetic marketing works in any type of business or niche category. Give it a try. Put together some relevant content and make a valuable series for your prospects to subscribe to. Your business provides the solution to someone’s problem. Create a series of informative articles, reports, or ebooks that provides in depth information on the problem and solution.

Create an ad that addresses that problem, and propels the prospect to obtain the vital information you will give them for free that is the solution to their problem. Apply this to your marketing campaigns - by offering something of value to your prospects your magnetic marketing will massively multiply your advertising responses, leads and sales.

Have You Ever Wondered How The Experienced Internet Marketers Generate Loads Of Traffic?

January 13, 2008 - 9:56 pm

Here’s a two pronged approach to getting the traffic you need and find out exactly what your customers want.

Why not Combine Surveys and Polls With Pay per click. I’m sure you already know that surveys are a great way to finding out what your target market wants. But if combined with low cost, quick and easy to use Google Pay Per Click, surveys can also send lots of hungry customers to your site every month.

First of all you’ll need to do some keyword research. You’ll need to find keywords and keyphrases that relate to your survey topic but also don’t have too many Google Adword campaigns running. You can do this very quickly with a tool like Jeff Alderson’s Adword Analyzer, which will show you exactly how many Google campaigns are running for various keywords at any given time.

Second, sign up for an inexpensive survey service like Survey Monkey. I won’t recommend free survey services, for they tend to limit the number of participants, and well the whole point is to get as many people as possible to take your survey.

The next step is to design a survey that will appeal to your target market.

Next, come up with an incentive for people to take your survey.

Make it a download, so you can capture the prospect’s email address. And make it viral. Even a simple white paper can be viral. You don’t necessarily have to cram it with affiliate links. Just make sure your URL is visibly listed on every page.

Now put up a simple web page that introduces people to the survey topic, offers the incentive, asks for an email address where you can send the download link and the survey results, and links to the survey.

Finally, use at least a dozen of the keywords you researched earlier to set up Google Adwords campaigns advertising your survey.

Make sure the ad uses your keyword, and that it mentions the incentive. “Take this Cooking survey, get a free recipe E-book.”

You don’t have to be the #1 ad.

You can even be on the second or third page.

The point is to capture a targeted prospect’s contact information for a very small investment.

But there are also some additional serious benefits in addition to all the traffic you’ll gain.

First, you’ll collect valuable information on what your prospects are looking for.

Second, you’ll have their permission to contact them with the survey results and the download link for the thank you gift.

And third, if you make that free gift a viral report, you’ll eventually get more targeted traffic. Nice!

You can do a variation of this with a simple one question poll.

Everything else is the same, except you’ll want to come up with an intriguing question for the poll - something that will attract people’s curiosity about the results and get them coming back for more.

I hope you enjoyed this Article and have gained some valuable information from it.

Good luck with the future.

Five Golden Keys To Successful Internet Marketing (#1 - Purpose)

December 9, 2007 - 10:01 pm

My first entrepreneurial venture was with a very famous network marketing company a friend of mine recruited me to. I remember well he and his wife coming to our house that evening to tell us about this great mlm business that was going to make us millionaires before we turned 30. Going by the way he had been trained by his upline he spent most of that first meeting talking about our why. We looked at pictures of yachts and mansions, talked about how fun it would be to drive a Lamborgini, and fantasized about being multi-millionaires. Even after we signed up and began doing what he was doing, our upline dutifully kept the “dream” in front of us. Just think, if we recruit 97 people I could buy that super-duper speedboat that I had always dreamed about.

I eventually quit the company after spending a bunch of money I didn’t have on motivational material I didn’t need and products no one else wanted. And I wondered why I had failed! I couldn’t blame the company because other people were getting rich selling their products. I couldn’t blame my upline because they hounded me every day to work the business. So I blame the dream!

You see, I was working to have that mansion and speedboat when I didn’t really want a mansion or a speedboat. Sure, it would be nice to take a Hawaiian vacation every other week, but at that point in my life I was just wanting to be able to afford health insurance. My dream was not a Lamborgini; my dream was to pay off the Ford I was already driving. There is nothing wrong with having a multi-millionaire dream, but if that is not your dream it won’t motivate you to do whatever it takes to be successful. My upline was keeping the dream in front of me, but it wasn’t my dream.

I had to find out what motivated me. What would make me get out of my comfort zone, ignore the skepticism of family and friends, and persevere until I became successful? For me, it was to get out of debt, be able to afford braces for my kids, have health insurance, have funds set aside for college, and to be able to pay every bill the day it came in. Not millionaire stuff, but it was my dream. I despise debt and will do anything to get rid of it. I like speedboats but won’t do anything to have one. And when I discovered that I hate debt more than I like speedboats, I found my dream.

We all know that you must define your why, but it must be your why. I would do absolutely anything in my power to ensure the health of my children. I would give my blood, donate any organ, and even give my very life for them. But I don’t know that I would do it all for your children. My children mean more to me than any other children in the world and I would do for them what I would not do for any others. So it is with your dream! My dream won’t motivate you. But your dream will drive you to the ends of the earth.

Discover your dream and you have taken the fist step in becoming successful. You can do anything you want … if you want to bad enough.

Five Proven Methods for Internet Marketing Success

December 9, 2007 - 10:38 am

There are hundreds of ways that you can promote your online business or website, some more effective than others. These five proven methods will help you to generate traffic to your site and also to generate income into your wallet.

1. One thing that appeals to everyone is “free.” If it is free people will take it. Think of the samples of cheese given away at grocery stores. Do you really

want a small piece of cheese? Of course not! But you take it simply because it is free and someone is nice enough to offer it to you. The same principle applies

with information or services offered from your website. You can send out free newsletters or offer a free trail period. One popular thing that is being given away now are free credit reports or free PC scans. These freebies are what we in the marketing field like to call teasers. After running the free credit report or PC scan we alert the customer if there is something found on their credit record or PC and then offer to show them what it is or repair the problem for a price. This can be an effective way to get information to your potential customers, create sales or to generate traffic to your site.

2. Your website contains information about a service or product that you are very knowledgeable about. You can use this knowledge to generate traffic to your site by writing articles in your area of expertise and having them published in an ezine or an article information site. The most effective way to use these

articles is to write them for free and ask in return that the publisher allow you to include a byline. A byline is a very short summary of the author, their credentials and their website. Your byline is a way that readers will come to know you as an expert on the topic and will in turn come to trust your site as a

source of credible information.

3. Some search engines will allow a website to purchase their ranking. This is an excellent Internet marketing technique in that it is effective and inexpensive. In the pay-per-click programs, website are only billed for those who actually visit the page, unlike banner ads which may be seen by millions but only used by a few. When using the pay-per-click program you are asked to choose keywords and when those are entered your site will appear and if the surfer chooses to view your site, you are billed for that click. Many pay-per-click programs will offer other benefits as well, such as updated lists of commonly used keywords.

4. You should remember that others are in the same boat as you. You can choose to network with those who have similar marketing ideas. When networking you will be able to share links and refer customers to each other. You should always be very cautious when choosing a networking partner as everything that you recommend is a reflection of yourself or your product

and therefore, you should be certain that your networking partner is a reputable source of

information.

5. Simply because your website is online, doesn’t mean that all your advertising should be. Advertise in newspapers, TV, the radio or you can even send out a press release to get your information to thousands of people all over the country.

Developing a growing business

November 10, 2007 - 10:10 am

Many people crave to develop a growing business. Unfortunately, few people can

actually develop one successfully. You see, many people, just like you, start off

but get distracted by not being able to have a vehicle for success.

I’d suggest that you look at some of the leverage factors for the internet.

Leverage Factor #1 - A successful business model.

If you have not built your own business model, you should adopt one from someone

else. For instance, marketing using network marketing, affiliate marketing and so on

are useful, but you need to have a program that allows you to derive multiple

streams of income all at one go.

If you don’t already have a business online, or are just interested in looking for

someone to provide you one, you might want to explore this one at

.MySuccessCollection.com.

Leverage Factor #2 - Learning and expertise.

To build a bigger base, you definitely need to increase your knowledge. With the

right kind of knowledge, you will find that you become more credible and people get

attracted to you directly. If you had a database of thousands of hours of a learning

library, I think you’d skew the chances to your favor, don’t you think? I’ve

discovered that it’s the learner with the right attitude who actually is able to

master the skills necessary to grow the business.

Leverage Factor #3 - Teams and collective effort.

Let’s face it - nobody really succeeds on their own. There’s really no such thing as

a self-made millionaire - only a team-made one. IF you want to leverage, you have to

find not just the team, but the way to build the team up effectively. I suppose you

might want to be a leader as well, and that takes #2 - your learning. Over time, an

effective and growing business could be in your hands.

One day I hit upon, “The Home Biz Guy’s PluginProfit Site,” where you are promised to receive the help you need to make money online. Autoresponders = Automatic Internet Marketing Success

September 6, 2007 - 11:47 am

What if you could send out all the information that your potential customers have requested without checking your email or answering a phone? While this

may seem impossible, it is becoming more and more popular among the most successful Internet marketing gurus. This is all due to what is called an autoresponder. An autoresponder is an automatic method of responding to emails sent by existing or potential customers and is an must for any Internet

business. Time is money and answering emails personally take a lot of valuable time for both you and the customer. Not only do autorespnders allow you

to spend the time elsewhere in your business, but it gives the customer access to the information almost immediately.

Since there are so many different uses for autoresponders, they can be of value to virtually any type of business. Some choose to use the autoresponders to answer frequently asked questions about a product or service. Others use them to provide information about pricing or product information. Autoresponders are also a nice way to welcome new members to a website or group as well as thank them after a visit.

One might ask what would be the advantage of using autoresponders as opposed to simply listing the information on the site. An important feature of

autoresponders is that they send you an email notification each time a response is sent out. This allows you to track the success of your promotions as well as have the email addresses of potential customers at your fingertips so that you can easily send out updated and new information to them.

It is of the utmost importance to choose an effective autoresponder. An autoresponder should be as personal as possible and send out follow-ups to

potential customers since it has been proven that persistence pays off. It could take up to seven contacts before a final sale is conducted. Generally speaking an advertisement should be short and to the point. However, in this case, the customer has asked to see this specific information and therefore an effective autoresponder should allow you to place as much text on the page as you desire. The autoresponder that you choose should provide automatic updates to customers free of charge.

The autoresponder is one Internet marketing tool that will not cost you an arm and a leg. You can get free autoresponders online from several sources. The

automatic responses will be a welcome addition to your marketing strategy and will help to automatically increase traffic to your site all while you do nothing. Be sure that the one you choose includes all the extras that will send you site to the top and your profits through the roof.
