What Is Viral Marketing and What Can It Do For Me?

December 21, 2009 - 11:30 am

What is Viral Marketing?

Use this thinking exercise: Which is better?

(1) $25,000 a day for 30 days or (2) 1 cent that doubles every day for 30 days

If you chose option 1 you might want to reconsider; the first option gives you $750,000 at the end of the month, the second gives you over 5 Million Dollars! (You do the math)

Viral marketing is a lot like gossip; it starts with one person and multiplies like wildfire throughout the whole neighborhood.

How does this happen? One person tells another person, that person, promising not to tell anyone, tells 5 more. Those 5 people each tell 5 other people, and this process continues until finally, everybody knows the rumour.

Viral marketing works exactly the same way. If you tell just 5 people about your website, and those 5 each tell 5 more, 5 becomes 25, becomes 125, becomes 625, becomes 3125, becomes 15625…

…and it keeps multipliying. Just like one cent will eventually turn into $5,000,000 if you double it for 30 days.

How to get Viral Marketing Working for you in 5 Minutes or Less for FREE!

With the Ultimate Traffic System, you can plug into a proven viral marketing system and generate thousands of guaranteed hits for free!

How it Works!

When a new member joins the Ultimate Traffic System they are first instructed to enter their name, email address, desired password and website.

Then they are automatically taken to a rotating page. The first page in the rotation will be the sponsor’s website. After a short period of time you will be asked to click a next button. The next page will belong to the next person in your sponsor’s upline. The page after that will be your sponsor’s sponsor’s upline, and so on. Each new page is another website in your sponsor’s upline until it reaches seven levels.

When you’re finished viewing all the pages, (this only takes a few minutes), you will be asked to click a button to confirm your membership. You will then be emailed your self-replicated website to promote to your visitors, with your memberID. (so we know that you’re the sponsor)

Your website will start appearing on other member’s websites as soon as someone is on your second level. It will continue to multiply throughout hundreds of other member’s uplines as long as they keep referring new members themselves. You’ll soon see a steady rise in your traffic which will increase every day.

Keep in mind, there is no way for people to cheat. Your position is 100% secure through our automated system.

Just like a rumour, your website will spread throughout the virtual neighborhood.

And, if you decide to change your URL at any time, new members will see it. This way you can promote hot new products to your well established UTS network!

Why Aren’t You Using Linkbait?

December 14, 2009 - 8:32 am

You’ve heard of the olden days when people would hunt for potential link partners. Well, those days are long gone and smart web masters are moving on to greater things, while decreasing their reciprocal link building effort.

If you are wondering what this new technique could be, it’s actually quite simple… in theory. It is known as linkbaiting. This is a strategy that brings links to a website simply because of the unique and popular content on a website.

With the rise of the blogosphere and social bookmarking sites, all it takes is one person to notice an interesting page and link to a site. Once a link is passed around once, it becomes easier for it to spread further.

Bloggers around the net constanly use linkbait to encourage other bloggers to mention them or to get their content passed around the blogosphere. However, many traditional web masters have not quite latched on to this powerful technique.

The benefits of creating quality, unique, or even controversial content go way beyond what one might first imagine. When a web site offers true value to the visitor, they can create hundreds and even thousands of backlinks without even asking.

Unfortunately, simply having good, quality content on your site doesn’t always work. To gain the full potential of linkbaiting, you need a good hook. Some of the most popular ones include:

News

Controversy

Resources and…

Humor

News Hook: Everyone loves to read about industry news. However, the key to attracting some real traffic is to add a twist to the latest news. Find out exactly how it affects your web site visitors. If you just give a rehashing of what everyone else has already said, no one will care.

However, if you inject your own twist or personality into your news story, then you are prepared to catch someone’s eye.

Look at CNN.com as an example. What do they offer? They provide the latest news every day of the week. In the world of information that we live in, news is a commodity. Because CNN offers such appealing content, thousands of sites are linking to them. Do you think CNN sent these sites a little email asking if

they would be interested in a reciprocal link? Of course not.

Instead, they employ linkbaiting. Their fresh and interesting content automatically encourages other people to link to it. Luckily for us, we can use this same technique on our own web sites.

News is one of the best ways to attract incoming links, especially if the news is controversial.

Controversy Hook: Before we move on, I must warn you that this hook can be very powerful and also very dangerous. It involves contradicting what someone says, preferably someone very prominent in the industry.

When used correctly, controversy can be very effective in bringing traffic to your site, but always be careful.

To begin, look for articles and stories in your industry. Some of the best places to find this type of content is on blogs, news sites, and social bookmarking sites. Once you have found a good story, take an opposing viewpoint or give it some sort of twist. This will make your content stand out from the hum drum of what everyone else is publishing.

The next hook is actually one of my favorites. It is known as the resource hook.

Resource Hook: Information is powerful online. If you have information that is not available anywhere else, you become an authoritative resource. Many of these resources come in the form of a list.

You would be surprised at the power of a list. You can organize:

- a list of helpful tools that would be beneficial to your readers

- a list of the best blogs in your niche

- a list of popular news stories within your industry (When you are doing this kind of list, be sure to sprinkle in some of your own commentary)

One of my favorite lists is located at .seocompany.ca/tool/seo-tools.html, where they offer over 150 SEO tools. Simply by linking out to their favorite SEO tools they get tons of traffic each and every day.

Robin Good of MasterNewMedia is a webmaster who uses lists especially well. One of his most popular resource pages is a list of RSS and blog directories that webmasters can submit to. You can see it at: .masternewmedia.org/rss/top55/ .

However, not only does he show you over a hundred places where you can submit your blog and RSS feed, he also gives you an overview of each service, some commentary on which of these directories are the most influential, and exactly how to submit to each one.

This one page alone has thousands of incoming links to it because it is an invaluable resource.

Another popular resource hook is to create a useful online tool that your visitors can download for free. Once they have downloaded your free tool, let them rebrand it and give it away on their own sites.

Humor Hook: Have you ever received a joke or some other sort of humor in your inbox? If you are like most people, then you probably have. Jokes, funny stories, and wierd pictures are some of the most viral hooks on the Internet.

Within your own web site, you can add your own touch of humor. However, you must make sure that it fits with your personality. People on the internet want to see your true self.

Many companies have made their web sites an impersonal void. This is not the way the web works. The Web is an engaging and interactive community of people. When you start giving your web site some personality, people will start taking notice. The ordinary is simply too easy to pass over.

Another key to remember when employing linkbaiting is that your article or news story should almost always link out to leading industry web sites or influential bloggers. There are so many web sites who are afraid to link out to other sites. However, by mentioning other web sites and bloggers, you

would be surprised at the number of people who start linking to you.

Bloggers are a group of web masters who realize the power of linking to others. Within the blogoshpere, links are spread willingly to those who provide great content. As a result, they all receive more traffic than they would alone.

Final Verdict

The term linkbaiting itself may sound a little fishy, but it’s not. If you are a good web master, you should always strive for your content to be linkbait. This simply means that your content is of such quality that others simply can’t help but link to it.

Understanding The Challenges Of The Link Building Game

April 1, 2009 - 6:23 pm

Many webmasters who have been following the discussions about Google’s dislike of paid links have been confused about what constitutes bad links and good links, in the eyes of the search engine companies. In this article, I will seek to answer many of the questions people have on this topic.

There are two kinds of links that you can pay to have made for you: rented or paid links, and permanent links.

Introduction To Paid Links, Or More Accurately Rented Links

With Rented links, you can generally make your purchase decision based on the PageRank of a page.

The downside with rented links is that Google has stated that they do not like links that are sold on the basis of PageRank, and they are trying to create systems to identify links rented for PageRank, for the purpose of discounting those links. While they may eventually be able to target and negate links developed by systems like Text-Link-Ads or TextLinkBrokers, they will never be able to completely identify and discount all links that are sold for the purposes of PageRank .

In the end, I suppose Google is not going to penalize the Source or Target websites for those links, but they will nullify the value of the individual links in the Google algorithms. Cutts suggested and implemented the “rel=nofollow” a while back as a tool webmasters could use for the purpose of identifying links for which the webmaster did not want to pass PageRank. The only thing that Google’s algorithm will actually do to links identified as rented or paid links is that it will treat those links as “rel=nofollow’s”. If Google succeeds in their quest, the webmaster buying the links will be throwing away his or her money, if they are buying placement on a webpage solely for the purpose of influencing PageRank.

The Story Of Permanent Links

The second kind of link is the permanent link. Permanent links come in many formats, and in most cases should generally be viewed as non-rental links. With rental links, you pay a fee for placement once a month, quarter or year.

Of course, the Yahoo directory is not viewed as a paid link by the Google engineers, because although you “pay” to get the link, Yahoo does not guarantee placement of your link in their directory. Instead, Yahoo says that we are paying them to “review our link.” This is why Google is not discounting links from the Yahoo directory. Those Yahoo links are nice to have, but they still do require a yearly review for commercial websites, which must be paid for on a yearly basis.

Permanent in all cases is in the eye of the beholder. Permanent as a rule in the Internet world means that you will not have to pay another fee later to keep that link on the page, where it will reside. In the context of links on the Internet, permanent actually means that the link will live at that location, until the webmaster who owns the website changes his or her website’s direction OR goes out of business.

In my experience, perhaps 10% of the website’s where we get links placed will go under within one year. Towards the end of the second year, webmasters will look at their Profit/Loss and make a determination whether their income level will justify shooting for a third year of operation. Another 20% will close their website at the end of the second year run. So, 30% will drop out of business, within their first two years. Of the remaining 70%, many of those websites will survive to the fifth year and beyond. I don’t know how long one will be able to count on a permanent link just yet, but links that I built for myself in 1999 continue to produce traffic for my websites today, and those links have sent me continuous traffic for years.

Permanent, One-Way Links

Many permanent one-way links can be acquired on pages that currently have PageRank on them. In those cases, it may simply be a matter of your link being added to a list of links already on someone’s web page.

However, any link created through a content development method, such as pay-per-post or article marketing, will be posted on a new page on the Internet. All new pages on the Internet begin life at PageRank Zero. It is like the birth of a baby. The baby begins small, but grows into a child, then a teen, and finally an adult. All article pages begin their lives at PageRank Zero, and most of those new pages will increase in PageRank as they age. Some web pages will never mature beyond PR1, but others can grow into pages that are as high as PR6 (at least that is the highest I have seen an article page to date).

If you trust Matt Cutts of Google, he has indicated that all new pages begin life at PageRank Zero and in the Supplemental Results. He also said that Supplementals are not the end of the road. Cutts stated that the only thing required to bring a web page out of the Supplemental Results is to have that web page gain PageRank. (For those curious why a page went from the Primary Results to Supplemental Results, the answer is that either Google began counting links differently OR the links that gave a web page PageRank no longer exist.)

Three Reasons Why Article Marketing Helps Link Building

My conclusion from this information, and I might be biased, is that the use of article marketing for link building is a positive in the Google algorithms.

* I conclude this because links developed through article marketing begin on pages that have a PR Zero. So, we are obviously not getting links placed on websites for the sole purpose of acquiring PageRank, not directly anyway. We are placing links for the sake of having links, but with good luck, many of those links will gain PageRank over the long haul.

* By the very nature of article marketing, we can ensure that the links we develop for our websites reside on web pages that are tightly focused and targeted to the content of our websites.

* Most websites that post articles do so through a process of moderation, meaning that all article placements have been human reviewed. That human review process at the other end of the transaction puts most article websites on par with Yahoo’s human-reviewed directory.

When we can get our keywords embedded into the link pointing to our websites, then that is always a much better deal. But, that outcome will be affected by the webmaster at the other end of the process. Each webmaster has his or her own rules for article placement, and some of those folks simply do not permit embedded keywords in our links, either in the body of the article or in the about the author information. A plain text link is better than no link at all, although we always strive to get embedded keywords in our links.

Final Thoughts

When you write a great article people will link to it, no matter where it may reside. So in time, the pages that house your article will gain PageRank.

As the article’s author, you will are in total control of the relevance of the web page linking to your website.

Just as you are in control of relevance, you are also in control of whether people will choose to reprint your article. Write a good article, and people will use it.

Three Reasons Why More Website Content Increases Traffic

March 1, 2009 - 8:43 pm

People typically visit the internet in search of information. They are looking for content that is relevant to their purpose. They typically are not looking for marketing ploys. There are a number of ways to increase this content, including having a search engine optimization company provide you with keyword rich articles, but there are three major reasons why more website content increases your website traffic.

The first reason more website content increases traffic is that content articles tend to be focused on a topic. This focus will then lead to the repeated use of a keyword or phrase. That repeated use leads to higher search engine rankings. Search engine rankings are the way returns come back to an internet user through a search engine. If someone searches for the term “dogs” they will come back with thousands of pages of results. The order those results are displayed on the screen depends on a number of factors including how frequently the term is mentioned on the site and where it is mentioned on the site.

Research shows that people tend only to click on the first ten results a search engine offers them. Increasing your website content will help you become one of those first ten websites. This means more people than you ever thought possible will be clicking on your site in no time simply based on your website ranking. Not only will you be closer to the top of the search engine with more content, you may also be indexed by more search engines. This could mean something like ninety percent of all internet users seeing your website in any one given internet session.

The second reason more website content increases traffic is a bit more complicated. If you have strong, well written content on your site, you increase your credibility with customers. Suddenly you are no longer a company selling homemade dog food; you are somebody who can offer knowledgeable advice about anything a responsible dog owner needs to know including house training, leash laws, and sleeping problems. This increase in credibility not only makes people believe what you have posted to your site, it also makes them want to stay at your site to read the rest of your content articles. The more content articles you have at your site, the longer they will stay. Keeping them there as long as possible is the key to selling your product to them. You have a much longer time frame in which to pitch your product and close the sale.

Not only will they stay at your site longer with more content, but this also means they may come back to your site the next time they log onto their machine. For example, if you are selling refilled printer ink cartridges, but you have content on your site related to all things printers, you have a good chance that someone might stay to look at a few of the articles. However, the next time they need digital photo printing tips, chances are good that they will remember what great content you offered them during their last internet session, and they will return directly to your site just to read more of your content. This means you have their complete, undivided attention for an even longer period of time. Moreover, if they are returning to your site on some sort of regular basis, chances are good that they will recommend the site to other users like friends and relatives which will mean even more traffic for your site.

The final way more website content increases your web traffic is that it increases the likelihood that advertisers and reciprocal link exchangers will be attracted to your site. Reciprocal links are exchanged by websites that have similar interests. The more relevant topics you are able to list, the more chances you have of someone with similar interests attempting to link to your site. This could greatly increase your website traffic because not only will people be able to find your site through search engines, they may also be able to find your site through other sites. Further, though, advertisers are looking for sites that encourage customers they want to do business with. More keywords will mean more customers for you which can mean more advertisers for you which can mean more profits and visibility for you.

No matter which reason you choose, more content will increase your website traffic. That can only mean good things in store for you and your website. You can have your content articles written for you or write them yourself. Whichever way you go, though, be sure they are well-written, as poorly written articles will do nothing to increase your website traffic.

The First Commandment of Internet Marketing

January 14, 2009 - 9:22 pm

Autoresponders are one of my favorites tools. I used to do business in the traditional word( I owned a pizzeria, for delivery only, like pizza hut department, but much butter than pizza hut in France),

and the process of delivery, was after the preparation itself, the core of the business.

But that was to much work to handle for a single man, so I had a team ready to deliver at anytime.

Why I love so much auto responders?

Your business is on autopilot.

Once averything is setup properly, you can forget it, and focus on a second business.

Will call that: Set and Forget technology.

What I have learned from one of my teachers in Internet Marketing is that you definitively need an autoresponder if you want to success in internet business.

You don’ t know what is an auto responder?

Aren’t you tired of taking the time to manually follow up

with every single one of your potential customers? Keeping

track of names, e-mail addresses, and what marketing

information you’ve sent to which lead is exhausting, isn’t

it?

Here it is:

The Auto responder does all of that “cyber-paperwork” for you. You simply set the system up, and it runs completely independently: Your leads ask you for information through a form on your web site or an email response to your ad, and your auto responder at any time of day or night, and the send this information to them - immediately.

You can even set the system up to address each of your leads by name. Also, date variables mean you can offer each new lead a time sensitive offer.

It has been proven that a prospect must see your marketing message at least 7 times before deciding to buy from you.

But, contacting every single one of your leads manually at least 7 times, gets very complicated. The process will soon take hours - even days!

So you understand now what is your benefit with that utility?

-You put your business on autopilot, and increase your sales by 400%!

-You spend more time with your family.

-You save time, reduce stress, build customer loyalty, increase conversion ratios, and make more money.

- and many more

You will find different autoresponders programs on the web: some are free, but you are able to upgrade to a paid member later.

For instance, you will find:

Free Autoresponder services that offers unlimited Autoresponders, no maximum mail lengths, but they ad a small ad at the top of your message, all that can be removed if you upgrade, with amazing features.

Also:

Paid Autoresponder with templates for your newsletter, training video…you can try it for free the first month in some cases.

If for any reason you are not satisfied you will get a refund.

And you will also find some autoresponders which

work as ad exchanges for their suscribers

these are free Autoresponder with an interesting twist, as it works like an exchange service:At the top of your message, there is a little advertisement, and in turn, your advertisement will appear at the top of messages send out by the other subscribers.

Quality content, traffic and bigger Google AdSense profits with articles

October 31, 2008 - 10:31 am

How to get content using articles grow targeted traffic and get more money with Google AdSense program.

Today everybody is talking about good content and how important it is to have one on any site. Good, relevant content is so loved by search engines. Quality content is a powerful advantage in the Internet.

The demand for quality content gave second birth to article. I am sure you already tried to submit or write and submit article(s). Everyone does it now. My experience shows that nice content and good submission work give you a huge publicity online. With time article pages get bigger and bigger PR and keep sending you extra targeted traffic.

Even if Google, Yahoo, MSN change their rules, will this affect good content? Never. Internet is nothing without good, relevant content and good article is a nice content indeed.

This is when it comes really easy to understand that running your own article directory is a very smart thing to do in terms of Internet marketing, SEO.

The benefits of having article directory on your site are great:

- every day your site grows with new relevant content - articles;

- each new page is indexed by search engines, these are the pages with super relevant content, on your keywords, this means with every new article in your directory you score more on your keywords with search engines;

- each article page is a page with quality content, the Page Rank of article page grows with time - just think how many pages with nice PR you will have automatically;

- article directory gives you traffic from search engines, very targeted traffic, people who come to read and find, your site gives them super relevant content (tests on real sites prove that people click 10+ more pages in sites with article directory in comparison to 2-3+ clicks before article directory was created on this site);

- you have no problems with content, it grows itself, fresh articles, on the keywords you need;

- you can easily monetize the traffic with Google AdSense, if you have your own products/services in the niche - direct traffic from article pages to your subscription email or order page - you have the right to do that, it is your site.

So, having article directory on your sites is much better than not having article directory.

What can stop you from creating article directory for your site now?

#1. You do not have the skills. - Now everything is easy as programs do all the job. All you need is a professional tool for creating and running your article directory. You just install it on your sites, do setup and the rest is managed by the tool.

#2. Articles can be dangerous. - Yes, they can. If you plan to create directory with 200-1,000 articles in 2 days, search engines may think that you are a spammer. But who says to do so? Grow your directory gradually. 5-10 new articles a day are better than hundreds in a bulk.

Search engines like to see gradual growth of articles in the directory, so give them this gradual growth! All you do is picking up or declining articles. Accept about 10 top relevant and interesting articles and the tool generates pages, puts them in the category you choose, creates RSS feed for the pages - everything to get bigger attention from search engines.

Now you see, that the only problem with article directory on the site is the question of balance. When you try to squeeze everything at once, your directory will have the content, but search engines will notice your growth only once.

On the other had, if you are not trying to catch up with wind and care for quality of each article, the gradual growth will show much better results. Still, getting extra 10-20 new quality content pages every day is not a bad thing. Even if Google bosses visit your site every week, they will not say anything: you are not spamming, you are managing your directory, taking care of the quality for your clients and visitors.

Article Directory + Smart Efforts = Content, Traffic & Money

Pushing Traffic From Content Sites To Sales Sites

October 27, 2008 - 12:17 pm

One of the most effective methods of getting traffic to a sales page is very well-known within Adsense circles (used to send traffic to Adwords advertisers through the Adsense program), but not as well known for traffic generation directly to sales letters.

That method is the content site. There are literally thousands of people making a living online by simply creating content sites, placing Google Adsense code on those content sites and collecting a check from Google every month.

There are literally thousands of others who have sales pages selling products and services who have never created a content site and pay for their traffic through the Google Adwords program. Much of that traffic is coming from those who are creating the content sites and placing Google Adsense code on their pages.

Isn’t that interesting? If you have a sales page selling a product or service; how much could you save by cutting Google out of the loop? A lot! If you have been creating content sites and depending on Google for a paycheck, how much more could you earn if you sent that traffic to a site selling an information product of your own? A lot!

There is even more money to be gained with this strategy then you might first imagine. At first, you might be tempted to think that the only money being left on the table is the money going to Google for providing the Adwords and Adsense programs. Nothing could be further from the truth. If that was the only money involved, then the percentages that Google keeps are very small… their service is well worth that price.

But it’s not! That money is only the start. Let’s consider the following facts to see that we can actually earn a multiple of whatever you are currently earning from your Adsense check or from your product site if you cut Google out of the loop.

1. The Adsense algorithm isn’t perfect. It often shows ads that aren’t very relevant. If you cut Google out of the loop, you can make your content site to sales page site traffic 100% relevant 100% of the time.

2. Adsense publishers often only get 0.5%-15% click through rates on any Adsense ad due to a number of factors. The method I will show you in this article will deliver 25% of the hotest buyers from your content site to your traffic site continually.

3. Adsense is currently a negative ranking factor on all three major search engines (see RankingFactors.com for more information on that). That means that by running Adsense on your content sites, they are slowly losing search engine traffic month after month. By removing the Adsense and sending that traffic directly to a product site, you will retain your search engine traffic.

4. Many have reported getting banned by the Google Adsense program. You came to the Internet to make money because you wanted more control and freedom over your life. By getting a large percentage of your income from a single company (Google), you are sabotaging your efforts. You are at the mercy of Google just like you were/are at the mercy of any employer.

5. If you are selling a product using Adwords traffic, you also are at the mercy of Google and bidding wars. You must continually improve your conversion ratio or the ongoing bidding wars will eventually eat up your profit. Google (or Overture or any other bid PPC system) is slowly allowing your competitors to either receive more traffic while you receive less… or causing you to pay them more and more of your profit every month as you are forced to raise your bids to continue to receive traffic.

Wouldn’tyou rather generate your own traffic and not be held hostage to bidding wars?

So we are agreed that you want to cut Google out of the loop whether you are a content site creator or the seller of a product or service; right? How?

Well, first of all you will nead to learn the skills of the other side. They aren’t difficult whichever side of the fence you are on. If you are a content site creator, you can pick up InfoProdCreation.com and have your own product 35 hours from now with 5 hours of work. If you are a seller of a product or service, you already have the skills to create content sites. Just write articles instead of sales pages and give information instead of trying to sell. Make it a multi-page site instead of a single page sales letter.

And I’m about to give you the secret to traffic delivery from a content site to a traffic site. It’s very simple. Create a home page with only the following elements:

1. A very short 2 paragraph, 3-5 sentence description o your product or service (no selling here).

2. A large (size 6) link that says either “Enter Site” or “Enter Here”. This link leads to your product site.

3. Three smaller links (size 2) on a single line below the above link that lead to the rest of your content site. They can say “Widget Articles”, “Widget Reviews”, “Widget Forum” or whatever types of content you have on your content site… about widgets in this case.

You will find that about 50% of the traffic on a content site eventually ends up at the home page. You will find that about 50% of those that end up at the home page will choose to click the “Enter Site” or “Enter Here” link. You will find that those 25% of the content site visitors (50% of 50%) will be fairly pre-qualified to read your offer. In many, many split tests, this traffic has out-performed Google Adwords traffic.

Have fun and please leave a comment and let me know how much more money you are making with this strategy. I would love to hear from you.

Play The Pop-up Game - Five Ways To Effectively Use Pop-ups As A Website Tool

October 4, 2008 - 5:42 pm

There are ways to increase your profits by using pop-ups as a website tool. More than likely, you have heard of pop-ups, but there is new software on the market that will amaze you. It has never been as easy to use pop-ups to market your website as it is today. You might be glad that you took a few free minutes to learn about pop-up marketing.

The new pop-up marketing software is not just your standard pop-up anymore. Today, you can market in a much less intrusive and irritating way to your customers. The prevalence of pop-up blockers in web browsers is huge and very affective. In the older days, it was a necessary tool because computers would literally freeze up because of p pop-up. Your job as a marketer is to draw in customers and keep them. However, you do not want to drive traffic away by having huge amounts of pop-up that take over their screen. When using the software, you will need to decide which type of pop-ups you want to use. Be sure to check out several of them before making a decision.

Pressure Pop-up - These types of pop-up have a countdown button that appears after your customer is on the web site for a while. The great thing about these is that they are set to give your customer time to look over the site, and will leave the screen once the count down runs out. You can put anything on your pop-up to entice customers to buy.

Instant Opt &ndash In Pop-up - A new software feature of pop-ups is opting in by clicking either yes or no. Using this feature is good for capturing potential customer’s email address. All business depend on lists to make future contacts about products, discount and special offers or drawings &ndash and not just the typical tasks of order taking and receipts.

Conditional Timed Pop-ups - Timing is everything in business. With this feature, you can decide when you want a pop-up to appear. Money In Your Wallet - Now! Proven Internet Marketing Methods

August 17, 2008 - 7:32 pm

Promoting your internet business can be done in hundreds of ways, some of which are more effective, some less so. Others can be total flops. But what matters at the end of the day is simply this: RESULTS…RESULTS…RESULTS. All your efforts should be geared to this one goal alone: Results that put money in your wallet.

So what really works?

1. People just cannot resist…FREE! Yes, FREE!

Imagine: You are out shopping for perfume. You pass the cheese counter. A gorgeous lady offers sample tastings of smelly, bluey Gorgonzola. You hate cheese, it gives you eczema. But you take some all the same &ndash maybe not to eat, but take it anyway as it is free. Lesson: People just love… FREE! If it is free, people will take it. Send out free newsletters; offer a free trial period/services/information. Tease your potential customers, for example, with FREE PC reports or PC scans. After running these free services, alert the customer of problems (potential and existing) on their credit record or PC. Then show them what it is, or repair the problem for a fee. This can be an effective way to get information to your potential customers, create sales or to generate traffic to your site.

2. Turn KNOWLEDGE into traffic to your site.

You will probably be an expert on your product/ business. Leverage this expertise by writing articles and publishing them in an ezine or an article information site. The most effective way is to give away your articles for &ndash FREE! In return, ask the publisher for authorization to include a byline. A byline is a very short summary of the author, his credentials and website. Your byline is a way to claim a ‘visible’ place, a niche on the world wide web for you/your business. With time, readers will come to regard you as an expert in your area of specialization. The logical progress and outcome will be trust in your site as a source of credible information.

3. Click-Click-Click to riches

Some search engines allow the purchase of website rankings. This is an excellent, inexpensive and effective online marketing technique. With Pay-Per-Click programs, you choose keywords that are relevant to your site, and determine yourself the bid prices for each keyword/s. When surfers enter these words, your site will appear with other sites bidding the same words. Higher price bid words rank the site higher in the list. You are only billed for that click if the surfer chooses to view your site. Many Pay-Per-Click programs offer other benefits such as updated lists of commonly used keywords.

4. In the Real World, we live…OffLine

You business may be online, but…remember that in the real world, everything else is offline. Utilise the myriad media advertising available: Newspapers, magazines, the radio, the television. Send out press releases to distribute your information to thousands of people across the country you live in.

5. Net-keting

We are not islands unto ourselves. Many online entrepreneurs share similar marketing ideas as you. Networking with these people via link-exchanges and customer referrals could bring exponential growth to your online business. However, caution must be exercised in the choice of a networking partner: everything that you recommend is a reflection of yourself/your business, hence you owe it to yourself to do due diligence and ascertain that your networking partner is reputable.
